I bought this camera for my family and i to take on vacation to snorkel with in Honduras. It was incredible, the pictures are clear and bright. it captured the colors and highlights the fish and coral perfectly. I highly recommend this camera, it's small and easy to use. We charged it before we left and never had to charge it while on vacation.

What a fun camera!

So much better than a cell phone camera!    The auto settings are good enough.  But if you want to dip into advance stuff, you can.    Great macro shots and it is waterproof.   It is pretty odd dunking a piece of electronics into the ocean, but this thing holds up.   Great camera, I use it mainly for underwater macro and plant macro on land.  The software to connect to it and download the pictures is easy to use.     Going to a baseball game this week and will try the multi-speed shot features.

Great quality, lowest price I found, uses USB-C charging port

Your high-end smart phone has better processing capability -BUT- the OM TG-7 is a fine compact camera. The TG has many features (that I rarely utilize) of my larger and much more expensive camera. My work often requires jumping out of the vehicle and snapping quick, but good photos, under all sorts of conditions, and the camera needs to be tough. I also need macro at times. The TG is very good at that task. The TG is great for my purposes. Also, transferring photos from IOS (phone) to the PC is horrid. The TG fixed that aggravation.

Quick and Tough lil Camera, the TG-7 just works

This is my 4th camera in the TG series and I like them even better than earlier models from other brands. I love that all my accessories are still compatible. Photo quality is excellent, good even in low light. There is a fair amount of manual control available for serious photographers. None of these 4 has leaked underwater, where older models eventually did. I have had to upgrade mainly because the front lens eventually gets scuffed from life in a PFD or ski jacket pocket. This time I bought hardened glass screen protectors for the back, and a silicone lens cap for the front and so it may last longer than my usual 3 years. As others have pointed out, there are few changes from the TG-6, and mine still works well except my front lens needed replacement.

It does not have GPS function! It depends on tying to a cellular telephone to record coordinates. Tying the camera by Wi-Fi or Bluetooth is highly inconvenient, waste the battery fasten of both items, and it does not work in isolated locations where there is not cellular coverage.  Besides, it lacks a map.

If you can live without GPS functions and cope with the non-intuitive navigation, the images are surprisingly good.
