I bought this item for my 6 year old daughter to watch the Land Before Time series and she loves it. It brings me joy to see her enjoy an item that I grew up using and a movie series we all love. It helps her rely less on all the apps and causes less arguments on what she is allowed to watch. I would recommend this to parents that are cutting down on main stream electronics and streaming platforms.

I purchased this for my sister as a gift. Hook up was easy with the HDMI cable included with the purchase of the DVD player. The reason I chose this player was because my husband purchased one just like it  for us, and we love it because of it's simplicity.  Granted my sister has only had it for a week,but I will update this review if anything changes. 
Shipment was quick and well packaged.

Here it is: it's inexpensive and it works! Easy to use, lightweight, and compact. Good for RVers and campers or anyone wanting an inexpensive DVD player with a small footprint. Replaced a very old SONY I purchased new back in the day (20 years or so ago). If this ONN lasts half that long at this price, I'll come back then and sing its praises again. Recommended!

Inexpensive and works!

Good DVD player and remote. Not a bunch of wires to hook up to Television. Easy hook up. Standard good remote. Standard size of remote. DVD player is not huge about medium size so does not take up a bunch of space. Delivery was on time. I am satisfied with this item and delivery. I have not tried any fancy screen mirroring login yet.

Quick and easy setup. Everything you need to start using immediately is provided (other than the CD/DVD you wish to play). Can use with old or new tv’s. Glad I saw this before I purchased one almost double the price. Good for listening to CD audiobooks from public library while you physically do other activities.

It has a compact size, starts up much faster than the poorly designed DVD player that it is replacing, and has a nice amber display. I love that it's powered from a USB port/adapter - I could use this in my car (with a 1200mA =  1.2A charger, or higher) It would be better if it had a little bit longer power cable, but that is easily fixable (via splicing in a longer wire - which will void your warranty / or use a USB extension cable - the best option) The remote is small and is a wall of buttons, with only two buttons color coded, but if that really mattered, a little bit of model paint or fingernail polish could fix that. So far it's a very nice DVD player for the money.

Very nice DVD player

I live in a part of the country where we lose our wi-Fi a lot and this DVD player comes in very handy when you don't have Internet or Wi-Fi and it plays great movies. Just as clear as if you are in the theater.

This cheapy DVD player has a half decent DAC. For real. I was shocked. I'm going to use it as a CD player in one of my secondary systems. I'm impressed. I've heard gear at 10 times and more the price that didn't sound as good as this does. Also has coax out to use an external DAC. But the picture is a different story. Not great. It does have good connectivity though with all the options from RCA to component out. I just hope mine won't bite the dust as I've seen so many others mention in their reviews. So that's definitely a concern. But again, ridiculously good sound quality for next to nothing as far as cost. 

Build quality especially with the tray seems solid as well. But time will tell about reliability.

Attention audiophiles

I would have returned this but I missed doing so by 2 days. I gave 4 stars for ease of use as a guess. This is only if your outlet is very close to where you'll be using it. The cord is VERY short and after plugging it in the unit whistles. This player is way over priced. Didn't work for me and now I'm stuck with it. 😡

It played through one show out of 3 that were on the DVD I had in it. On the second s the ow it froze and would not play anymore. When I tried to open the DVD player to get my disc out it lost all power. I finally got it to power up the next day and I was able to retrieve my disc. I returned the the DVD player to Walmart.
