Love this kettle. Solid ergonomics and design. The single, multi-function button keeps everything simple and easy to use. Super fast boil also a nice feature, and cost saver. I researched the whole pour-over kettle market, and think I bought the best out there.

Easily one of the best purchases I've made in a while. After probably too much research I went with the oxo electric kettle and I'm very happy with it. The simple dial and ease of use, the smooth flowing gooseneck, and the ergonomic handle with nice grip all make for a nice experience while brewing my tea. I'm not a coffee pour over snob or a tea enthusiast but having a kettle that gets hot water fast and keeps it at temp for 30 minutes is very convenient for the amount of tea I drink. Highly recommend.

Fantastic purchase

I like that this machine tracks how hot the water is which is helping to see! For years I've used a tea kettle on the stove but this one measures temperature which is an added bonus!

Like the temperature measurement

This kettle is amazing, I love that you can adjust the temperature for when you don't want boiling but warm water! This is smart, efficient, reliable, easy to use.

Adjustable temperature

This is a great kettle particularly if you are a coffee nerd who does a true bloom pour, the timer function is a nice feature that I use all the time. The kettle has a nice form factor on the counter and feels like a great quality unit. It is a decent size, but if you're doing a larger chemex you might need backup. 

The only reason I have it four stars is because at 3. 5 years, my kettle failed and I had to replace it. I got the same one because I like it so much. But these are simple components and should last longer than that. I'm hoping this one stands the test of time.

I welcome the Big improvement in the way you fasten the handle to the kettle! This one works fine, though it seems a bit noisier as the water reaches the boiling point.

I really want to give this kettle a 5 star rating. It heats up very, very quickly. The temp setting dial and push functions are intuitive and the design of the kettle is pretty sleek. That said, I have had 2 issues arise in the month I have owned this kettle. The first is that the kettles heating element (not the vents on the lid) has begun to make a very loud, low-pitched whine when heating up. It didn't make that noise when we first received it and it begins almost immediately, well before the water begins to boil, when we turn the kettle on. The second, and most alarming is that there a been a couple times when the kettle will keep powering the heating element even when it is on the "off" setting (no light). The kettle will continue to power the heating element with or without water at what seems to be max power, it's impossible to tell because the kettle base is "off" but the water boils over continuously unless I physically unplug the kettle. If I plug it back in and it is still in the "off" setting (no dial light) sometimes the kettle will begin to boil water again with no way to stop it other than unplugging it. Pretty bummed as this is a very nice kettle but not worth keeping due to the fact it is a real fire hazard.

Maybe I got a defective one?
