I love using this during holiday meals. It makes it so easy to use the broth from the turkey to make a gravy. It takes any pieces out of the broth as you pour it in. Then after a few minutes you can easily put the good broth into your pan and leave the fat out. Love this tool.

. . . but I marvel every time I uses this gravy separator (I don't like calling it a fat separator). It works beautifully and I am a kid in an adult's body enjoying the science of it. Love how large it is. Works well, cleans well, has a nice large handle, and the strainer top is great. I use onions in almost every gravy and the strainer top is quite useful. 
As I said in the title, I do not often write reviews, but I used my separator tonight and, well, wrote a review. Yes, this is a real review.

My husband uses one of these a lot when he cooks with meat! We have tried to separate fat without this tool and this O XO fat separator is so helpful and so handy! I highly recommend getting one, especially if you ever see one on sale!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This has made thanksgiving that much better and easier! My husband and I always make thanksgiving dinner and love fresh homemade gravy but trying to get the fat out can be a pain. This is a game changer. Very easy to use and works perfectly. I think it will help me want to make gravy more often!

The product works as advertised. I like that I am able to filter out the ingredients I don't want from the broth that I do. Cleaning is so easy. I love that it's dishwasher safe and microwave safe

What every kitchen needs

I have a new fat separator using it for the first time I discovered the red liquid release valve is still sealed therefore I'm not able to release the liquid leaving it useless.
