I know it sounds crazy but the directions don't tell you how to turn the light on.  There is a trick to it, you just have to figure it out yourself.

I have an inground pool with a light installed on the wall. that light worked only 2-3 times. This floating light is a great find! It works great! Love it!!!!

really lights up the entire pool

My pool does not have a light in it so it makes it a little difficult to swim at night. I search around and this light was recommended on a website for pool accessories. I found that it was sold at Walmart.com and decided to order it. I figured if it didn't work out the way I expected I could return it. This light works fantastic. It lights up the whole pool at night. I have an extra large pool and even this light makes it easy to see the whole pool at night. It comes with a rechargable battery that has a very good life span before having to recharge it. I recommend this to anyone who wants a little ambiance in their pool or just for extra lighting on a dark night. GREAT BUY!!!!

does light up 18'x54" pool mostly.  Large and seems durable, took 2 days to fully charge.
