Dr. Seuss's wonderfully wise graduation speech is the perfect send-off for children starting out in the world, be they nursery, high school, or college grads! With his trademark use of humorous verse and illustrations, Dr. Seuss addresses the the ups and downs life presents while encouraging readers to find the success that lies within them all. "Don't be fooled by the title of this seriocomic ode to success; it's not 'Climb Every Mountain,' kid version. All journeys face perils, whether from indecision, from loneliness, or worst of all, from too much waiting. Seuss' familiar pajama-clad hero is up to the challenge, and his odyssey is captured vividly in busy two-page spreads evoking both the good times (grinning purple elephants, floating golden castles) and the bad (deep blue wells of confusion). Seuss' message is simple but never sappy: life may be a 'Great Balancing Act,' but through it all 'There's fun to be done.'"—(starred) Booklist.

I think very highly of Dr. Seuss's books, I sent this as an Easter present to a very special child. I did not read the book., But in my opinion, Dr. Seuss is the best.

Dr. Seuss

walmart.com

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's a book and I cherish books. This will be a book that I will keep to have all of my daughter's teachers through out her K-12 sign and write a message to her. She will get the book at graduation.

Good graduation book for ages from 6 to 66!

I never realized how perfect this book is for Graduating Seniors until I got it for my Daughter as a Graduation gift and then bought more as Graduation gifts for her Friends. Perfect gift for Seniors, they loved it

Perfect Graduation Gift

I Love, love, love this book, but not sure why this version is more expensive then other also hard cover version. It has the same amount of pages and they are actually both "hard cover" so for price difference I would not buy this version.

not sure why more costly...

Amazing Book!! I got it for my little girls' teachers to sign each year. It is a hard book but also has the pretty cover for the book itself. You cant beat the price

Love Dr. Seuss and so do my grandkids. Bought this book for a specific reason. Saw online how a dad purchased this book years ago and had his daughters teachers write something in it from pre-school through her Senior years. He gave it to her when she graduated. I wanted to do the same thing with my granddaughter.

Oh, the Places You'll Go! Dr. Seuss Book

Oh, the Places You'll Go! is such a timeless and meaningful book. I got it for my daughter's teacher to sign, and it felt like the perfect keepsake to mark an important chapter in her life. The message is encouraging, hopeful, and honest about both the ups and downs of growing up. It's a beautiful reminder to believe in yourself and keep going, no matter where life takes you. A classic that never gets old and makes a wonderful gift.

MUST HAVE

I bought this book for two reasons. One, I loved it as a child. Two, I saw an idea on Pinterest. The idea is each school year to have your child's teacher write them something about your child on a page until they graduate high school, then give it to them as a graduation gift.

Graduation Gift

I bought one of these books from a book store a couple years ago for my daughters teachers to sign. I was afraid I would never find another one for my second daughter who just started preschool this year but then I found it at walmart.com. The price is a Great Deal!! and I had it shipped to the store so no shipping fee. This comes with the book and a sturdy case for it. The case is more Blue in color than it looks in the picture on the site. So excited to have found this!!

Great Deal!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I dislike that the front of the book cover was bent all at the top and tore at the bottom. i had it delivered to my house and it was 1 hr late getting to me. it was very disappointing to see my book cover bent at the top and tore at the bottom. i dont recommend having someone deliver books to your house. please go in person to get your books.

my book cover was bent and tore.
