Easily assembled

Good size and price

Great smoker, holds temp very well. I used an avocado spray oil (has a very high flash point) inside and out then held a consistent temp at 250°F for approximately 4 hours in the fire box to season and no sign of paint pealing. Season properly, don't rush it and don't build too hot of a fire on first fire up and there shouldn't be any issues. On a side note you should use a high heat bbq silicone to seal fire box and smoke stack entry point the cooking chamber. Happy smoking!

it works well not a set and forget smoker takes alot of practice to master using it alittle easier to cotrol temp if you use more charcoal than wood

Oklahoma Joe s Highland Offset Smoker

In the past few years Oklahoma Joe changed their design, they used to have 1/4" thick steel, good welds, and just overall what you would expect from a quality-made American offset smoker. This is not the case anymore, the design has been changed to decrease cost, it is a traditional "made in China" offset smoker. The steel is so thin it will be very difficult to control heat, and it may rust through very quickly.

At this point you might as well go for either an inexpensive Weber or higher quality pellet smoker. This is not an offset smoker anymore, it is something shaped like one but functionally it is not. If you want a real offset maybe something like a Yoder makes more sense.

Gone is Oklahoma quality, now just "made in China"
