Makes a change from sardines and seafood snacks. Has a Chinese taste to it.

Usually, I do not write reviews on products but I want to share my experience of this abomination in a can that I put in my mouth. I was so excited when I bought it and the first impression of it was nice. The eels were cooked or grilled in a way that was pleasant to the eyes but omg the smell hit me as soon as I opened the can. It smells like it was dipped in an expired Chinese oil that was unfamiliar to me and I did not like it one bit. It tasted just like it smelt with a hint of sweetness. I was going to eat it with white rice but the very first spoonful I took just wouldn't go down my throat lol. So I sauteed some onions and garlic with some soy sauce, ginger, black pepper, and sesame oil along with the juices of the eel except the eels. and I added those on top of the rice and eels to the side. I still couldn't eat the eels because it was that bad so I ended up eating just the white rice with the sauteed onions. This is such a disappointment. Do not buy it if you don't like exotic Chinese flavors.
