If you thinking about it, buy it

Blade is sharp.  I use a lot harder wood than basswood, and the blade does a good job  on the details.  Sharpens easily.  The chisel has been useful as well.

I've owned several oldtimer knives over my lifetime, so when I saw this one I had to have it. It just arrived and was sharp right out of the box. It is also well crafted and assembled. What a terrific carving tool. I couldn't be happier.

Have not had a chance to use the knife, however I appears to be exactly what I want.  Just started the hobby of wood carving.

dull and they had it at reduced cost then double the price after buying, don't buy.
