I first used the standard non-locking blade model when i was hanging wallpaper for a living, many years ago. I have never been without one since. It is the most indispensable tool of any type. When I saw the model with the auto-locking blade; I bought 2, so I would have a spare in case I ever lost one. I have never worn out the 2 first knives I ever bought. I don't hang wallpaper, now, but I do a lot of art of different types and use the knives for many things. I carry one in my pocket all the time, unless I go to the airport or other place you cannot take a knife.

This knife stays in my pocket every day.

This product is great. It of high build quality. I am using it for pencil sharpening. I am using extra sharp blades and I don't even need sand paper to finish off the point I can do it with the blade. Great product.

I now own two of these. Misplaced mine, felt lost at work.

I use this product everyday. I have had it for years and it has never failed me. I know I can always expect a clean and precise cut. I use it for breaking down boxes and scoring. I can use a blade over a long period of time without needing to replace it. This product is wonderful!

Great for IT

I have used these knives for at least 20 years and along with the black snap off blades there are none better. I run a small sign shop and use them for all sorts of things. They come in handy when removing old vinyl,  cutting material,etc. Just versatile all the way around.

The best!-

I've been a proud owner of this knife for several years now and it's my go-to for everyday use on the jobsite as a painting contractor. Despite it's small size, the knife is still very versatile and able to cut through many surfaces. The very light weight of this knife makes it excellent for long periods of use while preventing hand fatigue.

Great Versatile Knife

I have over 15 years of experience in sign making and fine art framing and I had opportunity to try out countless knives. Size, ergonomic, locking mechanism and precision are flawless and unmatched by any other knife. If you pair it with bigger L-2 model and good heavy duty blades, you won't need to worry about it for a good while.

The best knife I ever used

As a chef in New York City, this is my number one go-to for any or all tasks I encounter in the kitchen. I wear it clipped to my chef coat along with a permanent marker all day, and surprisingly, through all the moving and bending my OLFA stays put better than my pens despite it's heavier relative weight. My day requires obsessive efficiency and, for example, taking time to return back to my station for scissors etc while if I'm in the walk-in refrigerator is out of the question. I carry two on my person at all times. One is for food (carbon steel blade, like cutting the vine of a bundle of grapes when you don't need a bunch/ cleaning the top of radishes or carrots when you're near the sink and your knife is 15m away) and one is for everything not food (stainless steel blade). Days of prying open boxes and ripping plastic bags, are long gone. They get neatly sliced open within three seconds. Cutting tape for labels, cutting cerran wrap, breaking down boxes, cutting paper towels in half so they fit snuggly inside a container and so forth. I really think this is an all around great tool. The only case I can make against my OLFA is that I think the plastic auto-lock button should also be made from steel, like the rest of the knifes construction. Also, offering this with a few color options other than silver (like black or white steel). I would rather leave my cellphone at home than spending a work day without this razor knife. Great product.
