Best litter box that doesn't cost several hundred dollars. It does take a little getting used to the filtering grate, sometimes if the box gets sideways the grate comes loose and then it doesn't work as intended, but it's easy to roll the box on the side and gather the clumps daily. No more sifting!

Great Litter Box

This is the third one I've bought, though the first two I bought between 5 and 7 years ago.  The first two fit together snuggly where the dumping drawer enters the front.  This one, the drawer was not snug and cat litter leaked out of the litterbox every time I rolled it, due to gaps around the tray in whatever direction it seemed to be cut wrong.  Also, the clump straining part had a habit of popping out when I tapped the bottom, as directed to do.

7 out of 10, recommend if money constraints

I've had this product before and regret going back to the very basic litter box. Assembly is easy, but the problem that I had with it before still exists. The screen inside the box that the sand filters through does not stay in place  when putting it back into the main chamber. The weight of the sand pushes it out of the slots meant to keep it in place.  I had to use duct tape to keep it in place.  Since using the tape, it works fine separating the litter from the clean sand. I've also had to use the tape to keep the lid locked securely. I have 3 cats, so the larger box is adequate.

No More Scoop-by-Hand

This item was definitely not what I had thought it was going to be. I'm new to the cat world and when the description said “automatic clean” that's exactly what I thought. But it is only automatic when you physically dump the box over so that the clumps go into the slide out drawer. It maybe easier than scooping for some and that may seem automatic but definitely not what I was expecting. The area inside is cut in half because of the “screen”  so your kitty has a small area to do their buisness. And the lid comes off when you are “automatically”changing the litter. I think this box was overpriced and definitely not worth the money paid for it.

Rather frustrated with this. The partition in the center that is designed to sift the litter won't stay in place causing the drawer to fill up with dirty AND clean litter and it makes a big mess. I'm going to try to duct tape it in place and if that doesn't work, I'll return it.

The product does not work. It has very easy set up. Once the cat uses the litter box, you are supposed to tip the product to the right, and it separates the clean litter from the part that gets thrown away. The part that gets thrown away is supposed to go into the cartridge, that you can dump into the garbage can.

that is not what happens. After I tipped it to the right, the remains never left the bottom of the pan. i had to clean that up with a paper towel.
Another concern of mine was cat litter dust..  this product does have a lid on it.  when my cat did try out this new box,  she was in the box, burying her stuff, breathing the dust.

i don't think this a good product. I am a cat lover, and I am returning mine.

The litter stuck to the bottom so rolling it never got all of the dirty litter, then clumps would get stuck in the screen blocking the clean litter from coming back in.  It is also tiny, my cat is 9 months old and 7 lbs, and it was too small for her to feel comfortable in it with the top on.

Too small, and dirty

Others mentioned the thin, cheap plastic,  but I thought I would give it a try.   It lasted three and a half months.   Now the sifting grate won't stay in place, and litter pours out between the top and bottom pieces.   Now it's just a box, and I'm back to scooping by hand.

if you're going to get a self cleaning litter box go ahead and go for a good electric one. don't waste your money on one like this. it leaks every time all over the floor when tilted to catch the dirty litter in tray. BIG WASTE OF MONEY.
