Sound Quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this Onkyo receiver. Plenty power to drive my Klipsch speakers. The Dirac live is phenomenal addition!

Great reciever!

walmart.com

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the sound and the web interface for controlling the different aspects of the AVR. The Dirac Live was a bit challenging to get to complete, After reading and watching the many on-line guides, I was able to determine I needed to turn my subwoofer way up so it was audible above the noise floor. I love the results. You are fully immersed in sound.

TX-RZ30

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I needed an AVR to power my 7.1.2 speakers setup and this did the trick. I am very happy with the sound that sourrounds me while viewing Dolby Atmos movies.

Great surround 7.1.2.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 9.2 channels and direc live at a great price. I replaced an Onkyo I had for years. Use banana jacks for all speaker wires to make installation way easier. Best bang for the buck as of now.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A great addition to any home theater. It has a nice immersion atmosphere that would make anyone happy.

Being looking for a AVR that's under $1000.00 Onkyo RZ30 fit the bill. Some places have it over $1k. Actually Walmart had it a tad under $800.00

Setup wasn't to difficult. I had to go thru the menu a couple of times to make sure everything was set correctly. My only complaint was there wasn't a physical manual. I had to download it from Onkyo website.

This replace a 13 yr old Sony AVR

Awesome

Sound is amazing with a fairly easy setup but the real surprise was the picture quality!! The 4K 120 refresh rate is pretty amazing almost looks 3d it's so clear!! Best picture I have ever seen on a tv and I am not exaggerating!! My wife noticed right away and she never notices anything I change!! Definitely worth the price

Best picture ever!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Onkyo rz30 is a good reciever. I just didn't like the dimmer of the display, you can't completely dim the display screen like my Pioneer VSX 935,and I think my Pioneer just sounded better so I returned the Onkyo RZ30.

Wasn't what I was expecting

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] sounds great.. trying to just the licensed special setup keeps ending in error, so just used the standard mic setup, still sounds great

sounds great

The sound and output is amazing. Having to power cycle every time I want to connect to WiFi or the app is VERY annoying. As advertised Dirac is a good room tuner, but extremely sensitive to ambient noise.

Poor WiFi e

OnkyoUSA.com

The sound is good. The Dirac calibration is very nice.
Nevertheless, the user interface is not very good. I don't feel a reel improvement compared to my 10 year old Denon X4000.
Changing preset is very slow and you have to go through all the list. At least do a select box in the smartphone app.
But the more deceiving is the smartphone app and the audio platform connexion. A lot of bug, slow and not handy at all. Music is not sorted the same way than in the Tidal app so it's hard to find. In album section, you have only the title, not the artist. When you go gack from the player to the track list, it reload reverting...
Why didn't you implement Tidal connect!
The remote is very cheap for a product of that price range.

Good but some very annoying things
