Sound is amazing with a fairly easy setup but the real surprise was the picture quality!!  The 4K 120 refresh rate is pretty amazing almost looks 3d it's so clear!!  Best picture I have ever seen on a tv and I am not exaggerating!!  My wife noticed right away and she never notices anything I change!!  Definitely worth the price

The Dirac Live was a bit challenging to get to complete, After reading and watching the many on-line guides, I was able to determine I needed to turn my subwoofer way up so it was audible above the noise floor.  I love the results. You are fully immersed in sound.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 9.2 channels and direc live at a great price. I replaced an Onkyo I had for years.  Use banana jacks for all speaker wires to make installation way easier.  Best bang for the buck as of now.

I used a Denon AVRX-2000 for 12 years and upgraded to a Marantz SR6015 a couple of years ago. Long story short, the Marantz was a defective unit and I lived with it for two years before I finally upgraded to an Onkyo TX-RZ30 last week.

The RZ30 is a big upgrade over the Denon and Marantz. Dirac Live, in my room seems to be an unbelievable upgrade over Audyssey Multi EQ XT32.

The receiver boasts a superb build quality, has excellent power output and runs so much cooler than both my Marantz and Denon with the same 5.1 channel speakers!

My family is absolutely impressed with the upgrade in sound quality. To quote my wife: "Music never sounded so good in this house before".

I think I have discovered a gem in the Onkyo TX-RZ30. I very, very highly recommend this over competing brands of AV Receivers.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] sounds great.. trying to just the licensed special setup keeps ending in error, so just used the standard mic setup, still sounds great

The sound is good. The Dirac calibration is very nice.
Nevertheless, the user interface is not very good. I don't feel a reel improvement compared to my 10 year old Denon X4000. 
Changing preset is very slow and you have to go through all the list. At least do a select box in the smartphone app. 
But the more deceiving is the smartphone app and the audio platform connexion. A lot of bug, slow and not handy at all. Music is not sorted the same way than in the Tidal app so it's hard to find. In album section, you have only the title, not the artist. When you go gack from the player to the track list, it reload reverting... 
Why didn't you implement Tidal connect!
The remote is very cheap for a product of that price range.
