Ease Of Installation

App Selection

I have purchased about a dozen of these. I did get 1 that froze on what country but was able to return. You need a Gmail address to activate. The set up is a bit slow but luckily only have to do it once. After being a fire stick user for almost 2 decades I can say I like my onn stick better. Being disabled I watch a lot of TV so my onn stick gets used almost all day everyday and so far so good.

walmart.com

I love this little device! The 4k versions are pretty hard to catch in stock, so I went with this one. The picture and sound are fantastic on my TV. Setup took a bit due to a 1 gig size update, but after that, smooth sailing. Many features, which I'm still exploring. Overall, it's so cool that I bought a another one for someone else.

I bought 2 of these units to replace Amazon Firesticks which had become slow and would freeze up and then restart. The ONN unit has more flexibility than the older Amazon Firestick. I would recommend these to cord cutters and also to anyone who would like smart TV features added to older HDMI TVs.

Great Streaming Stick

For the price, you really can't beat this little device. Sure - it's not 4K (but a lot of content isn't 4K anyways). The UX works well (thanks to Google) and it's relatively fast. It has a reliable Wifi connection, and the voice control works well. I'd recommend.

Exceeded expectations!!!

I bought this for my smart TV to stream shows since we no longer have cable. It works great! I am not technical for all the things you need to know speed wise or whatever, but I have noticed that sometimes it buffers and kind of needs a reset. We watch a lot of streaming TV so I guess it could be the speed of my internet occasionally - like i said i'm not sure how all that tech works. the remote is small and easy to use, the buttons are all in reach without repositioning your hand. would recommend.

streaming device

Works well! The set up, at first, was complicated. But I quickly got everything sorted out to get it streaming! I wish I had known you have to plug it in a power source. Overall it has been a good product for my daughters tv in her room

Worth giving it a try if streaming is wanted!

I stream a lot! I've also had multiple generations of the Amazon fire TVs, but Amazon has decided to interfere with paid apps, such as my VPN, which I now have to sideload every single update so I looked for alternatives.

This version of ONN is not as good as the fire TV. It was very easy to set up an intuitive, but the actual quality of the picture is not as good.

On the other hand, if you haven't done anything complicated on your streaming device, you don't use a VPN you don't use a lot of apps and you just kinda want a single source of all your paid services. It's just fine. I would probably upgrade for better quality, even as a starter particularly if it's a primary TV

This was just for TV in my extra bedroom that I only watch when I'm on my stationary bike.

I did try moving it to other TVs and the picture quality issue was still inferior to the fire TV so that's consistent. That's why I recommend just upgrade if you can afford it.

The good news is it was super affordable, so my rating is relative to the cost

OK as a starter streaming device

AVOID THIS PRODUCT AT ALL COSTS. THIS STICK DOES NOT CONNECT TO THE INTERNET. I have about 20 devices connected to my home internet network. I have never had this much issues connecting to the internet. This is a useless product. ROKU/FIRESTICK/XFINITY/SMART TVs, have taken 5-10 minutes max. After 2 hours of trying to connect this, I gave up. Just need to return it or throw it in the trash if they give me ISH at Walmart.

TAKE THE $15 and throw it in the trash.

I just received the ONN STREAMING DEVISE and it came with a power plug that wasn't adaptable to the streaming stick. Can you believe it. Both items in the same box are not usable because the power cord that is used to plug into and power the ONN STREAMING DEVISE are of different configurations. No I have to get my money back which is always a pain. Thanks for nothing.

Oh, and I powered up the STREAMING DEVICE using my own power cord. Get this.... It powered up but it could not find my Internet connection. 2 black marks, one device. Not a good look for Walmart or ONN.

The price hike is ridiculous. same device that costed 14.99 has doubled without any improvements to the device. Greedy!

Onn. Google TV Full HD Streaming Device centered front view of a compact HDMI streaming stick with micro USB power port and slim voice remote on a neutral background; Chromecast built-in, Full HD output and Google voice control for streaming apps, often used to cast photos and music for casual gatherings.
