This bag is more of a toiletry bag and not an insert for a tote.  It's all polyurethane exterior and plastic interior.  It would make a very nice small toiletry bag. 
I found it to be cheap looking as an insert if used for that purpose, but, a great toiletry bag.  For whatever reason you choose to use this bag, it is still NOT worth the high price.  Returned it
