I appreciate this fan. It's quiet enough for me. It's a nice fan. I think the person who had trouble with assembly might have a defective one. This was very easy to assemble. I expect it to be easy to clean. The closures would not keep out an inquisitive 2-year-old, though. When I say they're easy to do, I mean it.

Great Fan

I use this fan in my living room. I don't have an area to have a ceiling fan, so I like to keep the air moving. This little fan is great! It is a pleasing flow of air. It doesn't take up much space, so that is a good thing. It is not loud. It has low, medium, and high speeds, so I can choose the amount of air I want. I am extremely pleased with this purchase!

Great fan

I was looking for a replacement for a 30 year old fan that still worked perfectly, until a buddy knocked it on to the floor two times.
This one works as well, and is used daily.
Easy assembly. Nice clean appearance. Great price too.

Nice Find

Great fan for light sleepers. I chose this one because I looked at many fans and this one was the best for light sleepers in addition to a reasonable price.

Optimus desk top fan

Although I have central air, I use a table fan to sleep comfortably on the 2nd floor during warm weather. The low setting is perfect during the night. The fan is quiet at that setting, but I would like it to be even quieter.

Reliable product for the price

We wanted a nice, quiet fan for our bedroom at night and this is perfect!  The only complaint would be the short power cable but an extension cord solved that so it is a non-issu.

Nice, quiet fan!

The fan was good in many ways. The fan blades were white, and therefore easy to see dust builtup. The fan guard was of metal and not as easily damaged as those that were plastic. I liked the push button speed control. At the two slowest speeds it is very quiet - good for sleepers. Some have commented that it is difficult to assemble, but I didn't have this difficulty.

Only two negative items come to mind. The fan as a whole is light weight, and there is not any extra weight in the base to help hold it erect. If not placed on a level surface it may tip over. The fan angle adjustment had no tightening knob, just a screw needing a screwdirver. The angle adjustment was not infinitely adjustable, only about 3 to 5 adjustment detents by means of a ratchet. If the screw was not tightened sufficiently the adjustment will slip.

Optimus 12 inch oscillating fan

When I received this product I assemble it and set it up in the bedroom. At first all was well, but after a short period of time the fan started to give off a very strong odor. The odor was so bad that I had to cut off the fan and disconnect it. I then had to spray the room with Airwick and that was not enough to eliminate the odor. I had to get the big 20-inch high velocity fan to blow the smell out of the room. I disassemble the fan and took it to the local Walmart for a refund.
