I love the fact that this fan is metal with metal blades.  It also tilts any direction you want.  It is quiet but puts out good air flow if you are near it. Say like desk, or near bedside, or lamp table in living room.  Works in a kitchen too. Single speed but air flow is great.

Fan  is worth getting; will last with heavy use.

Optimus 4" personal metal fan

I wanted this fan because it's small, a friend has one like it, and because it can tilt downward. The power it has to move air is good. I would have liked more color choices, though. Also, my friend paid about half as much as I did.

Good little fan

I get easily annoyed by noise, so I took this one to work.  This device gives off a lot of air for such a small guy, It has plastic levels instead of rubber ones, thereby it has a tendency to vibrate which I don't like to hear when I go to sleep.

Vibrates-Good air quality

I have another four inch fan which has a metal/ wire wound motor and not plastic like this one. This one works, but makes vibration noises on a hard surface. You will have to put some padding under the base stand. I use these fans for cooling by computer video cards. They push plenty enough air... but do suggest you find one with a metal housing wire wound motor... I made a mistake thinking this fan had a metal motor, but it's a plastic housing and plastic and heat don't go hand and hand... I expect it will not last very long... and only time will tell. I have had the metal fan for six months with no problems, no noises; therefore highly recommend a fan with a metal motor. This one works fine... but for how long? We'll see in time.

Middle of the RUN Fan

This fan was not put together well.  It was very loud to be so little.  I have returned this fan and purchased a different brand.  I purchased a Brentwood.  So far the Brentwood seems to be more my speed and its a tad bit lighter in weight.  The Optimus fan I order of the was black, but I was sent red.  I really did not care about the color only that it performed well with low sound as promised and that is not what I received.   I was afraid that this fan would start a fire because of the noise it made and how it performed.  It sounded like the blade was hitting the guard cover (metal on metal sound) in addition it seem to have periods of power loss where it would go low power then speed up and that reason alone was a flag for return.  One plus is that the color of the fan was a beautiful red- like nail polish. Even though it was the wrong color.

2cd day i turned it on and 15 minutes later me and my wife hear a pop sound followed by smoke. that was it. stoped working right there. i opened it up to find a black burn spot on the board. lucky i was there when it happened. so i could unplug it. would have burned my house down. warning to all. dont buy this.

I bought two of these fans  at the same time. They both stopped working within minutes.
