None of the cheaper plastic timers have lasted very long with the cruddy hard water of central Texas but this timer has held up well so far! It seems to keep time pretty accurately and has lasted through multiple freezes, hail storms and 100 degree days! Buy a cheap one every 8-10 months or buy this one for a lot longer!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Seems very sturdy.  Body is definitely metal, not plastic.  Other parts plastic.  I have used it many times and it works well and timer is relatively accurate.  Would buy another if they restock them.

The biggest selling point for me was that it was advertised as not restricting water flow, but unfortunately, it does, as much as the other ones I bought before it. This was a disappointment for me, but other than that, it appears to be a good product. The casing appears to be made of some kind of soft metal, like aluminum or something similar, but it looks and feels like it will last a good deal of time, of course time will tell on that since I've only had it for about 2 weeks. Overall, I'm pleased with it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good design poorly implemented. The thin metal skin (should be cast and/or milled) hides a weak plastic body (it's not really a metal device). The timer mechanism has been reliable. By being careful- especially with the outlet hose attachment neck which has a tendency to break- it works fine.

Bought this one couple weeks ago,  put on my hose bib and a lot of water sprayed out immediately.  I checked the washers, made sure it was tight no change.
