[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my second B-hyve after the first one died after 8 years.  I tried a cheaper one but it didn't have the features I wanted/needed.  Bang for the buck, this controller is very good.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This irrigation controller is awesome. I can control the sprinklers from anywhere. Also, with its awesome Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connection it makes it easy to set schedules for each station. It also has an option for a main control valve valve.

Orbit 12 station irrigation controller

What a huge difference over old-style electronic timers. Yesterday I tested all my zones (found one broken head) by simply standing next to each zone with my phone and tapping "Test" for each zone. In the past that meant running back to the box every time you needed to advance a station.  I can also control the timer from home (the sprinkler system is at my office). I am letting the device control the stations with the Smart Watering feature.  We'll see how that goes. Two caveats:
1) The application is not 100% intuitive. You will have to delve into the Help/ FAQ in the app to take maximum advantage of the features of the app 2) The Smart Watering feature will probably work best if you set up Collection Cups in each zone to determine the watering rate for that zone. That will be a time-consuming one-time task (I haven't done yet). The Collection Cups made by Orbit are either Sold Out, or command a ridiculous price. I am planning  on marking some Dixie cups when I get around to it.

Game Changer in Sprinkler Timers

Easy to use.  "FAQ" section very helpful in setting up system.  I like being able to activate and turn off zones while standing in the yard, especially when checking for leaks and adjusting irrigation heads.

Had a Rain Bird before this one without WiFi -- big mistake.  Installed the Orbit with WiFi and it was a breeze to install and set up.  Haven't done any programming at this point but expect it to be user friendly.

Excellent and Simple

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Replaced our 11 yr old system with this one after checking reviews about irrigation controllers.  Simple and easy to install and program existing stations.  I love the app and the connection to WiFi or Bluetooth.  I no longer have to go outside to the controller to do anything!
Orbit has really simplified the programming process…. It's highly intuitive with the app.  I recommend this one to all my neighbors.

Easy Peasy!

Overall this was pretty simple to set up. The unit seems solid and well made. The wiring terminations seem secure. The smartphone app works well. 

The price is good for a 12 circuit system with all the features. 

Having this controlled by app is just wonderful. 

There are some small irritations. The label over the terminal lugs is not quite sized correctly so it's hard o tell which circuit you are connecting. The app assumes you have a six circuit controller and you have to fiddle with the settings on to find where they hid the other six. The smart weather features are fussy.

Good unit, good price, some quirks

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The web app can not control two devices. I replaced two controllers with two of the Orbit controllers. My concern about the lack of maintenance for the web app leads me to concern for the long term maintenance of any app. There is no simple way to provide this information to Orbit; no email or web link for customer feedback. That said it works as described with the Android app and the installation was straightforward and simple.
