Bread Grille

Hi. My Oster toaster quit after less than a year. The brackets inside that hold the toast detached or broke. We were always very careful with it. When I went to repair it I found that the screws they use (tri-wing screws or some such) are definitely non-standard. Thus, I could to the hardware store and buy a tool I'lll rarely use again and, if other parts of the toaster don't break, see if I can nurse it into its second year. But I'm not going to do that, of course. I wonder if Newell Company, who recently bought out Oster, has any concerns about the reputation of the brand they acquired. I would be thrilled to see them come through for me.

poor quality after acquisition by Newell foods

oster

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great toaster very easy to use and I love the design and texture and finish. This toaster has a bottom that can be easily removed to clean out the bread crumbs as well pretty neat . Work well with the settings on how light or dark you want your toast to be .

Great toaster

The toaster works but I have to put the heat to the maximum and after a first roasting, I have to turn the slices of bread to roast the second side about 30 to 50 seconds. Considering the price, it goes.

Good for the price

This toaster is much lighter than I expected. If I push the buttons it slides all over the counter. It has 1 hot spot in it that burned the toast on a light setting.

A little disappointed.

I purchased this 2-slice toaster about 3 months ago and I am already looking at different brands to replace this one. It toasts one side of the bread much better than the other. One side will be toasted, and the other side is nowhere being toasted the same as the other side. One side is done and the other side is not. I have tried both sides of the toaster and turns out the same way each time. One side almost burnt the other side nowhere being done. And it is set between 1 1/4 -1 1/2. Why won't it toast both sides the same?

It is an awful Toaster, the only consistency is that it does NOT Toaster...no matter the setting, toast one side only, very lightly on opposite side, setting doesn't matter still have to take bread out and insert opposite side to get both sides toasted and end up with one side darker than the other!

Does NOT Toast well

oster.ca

This toaster emits toxic fumes. I used it for several weeks hoping the fumes would burn off and stop, but they didn't. It works fine otherwise. I got rid of it and bought a Bella; they do not use PFAs in their manufacturing.

Toaster Emits Toxic Fumes

walmart.com

Purchased about a month ago. Right out of box realized it was flimsy. Only toasted one side of bread. This morning, handle wouldn't stay down. Absolutely ridiculous for a new toaster of a month. Don't waste your money on this!!!
Would give zero if that was option.

Junk

This is my second unit with the same result. The setting is a but over 2 and the toast either burns or only one side gets toasted or I have to turn it over and toast the other side but have to pop it before it burns.

Terrible toaster

Often used to warm thick bagel halves or artisan bread slices.
