This kettle arrived
— clean and odorless
— identical to the description image
Used once
— average boiling speed (forgot to measure, about the same as the Oster glass body kettle) 

Beware that once the cover is in the open position, water can flow back down onto the handle. Don't tilt it toward the back for safety.

The shell get quite hot. Otherwise great kettle

Not bad

The kettle works flawlessly, and it heats water quickly and thoroughly. My one reservation is that the kettle has poor balance. It is hard to handle when even half full of water. I think the oversized handle creates the balance problem.

Operational quality and handling characteristics

My 2nd kettle purchased also leaks from plastic fill indicator. Can I get a replacement? I notice this is an issue with many reviews posted. Please advise. Thanks.

I love the sleek design. I also like that the net spout is easily removable. Easy to clean.  The con is the cord is very short. It is about 75% shorter  compared to other manufacturer.

Can be improved

We had an Oster kettle for many years and were so happy with it when it was time to replace it we bought another. So disappointing. The lid release broke after about a year and shortly after the button to turn it on cracked.
