This brush is amazing! I have a Newfoundland who just turned a year old and he requires lots of grooming. His thick fur and undercoat would rip the bristles out of the other pet brushes but this thing is awesome! I actually just brushed him last night and got a huge pile of fur off of him! I will add a photo of him because he is just so darn handsome!

I had to vacuum twice a day to keep up with my new dog's long hair. This tool is amazing. I comb him every couple of days and the hair all over the house has been cut by at least 75%.

This is the most amazing dog de-shedding comb I have ever had!! I have two of those ever so popular "Fur- eliminating" combs and they do well, but nothing compared to this ShedMonster tool. I have a golden about a year old and I thought I brushed out a whole new dog from her coat. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

HOLY DOG HAIR!!

Removes huge quantities of undercoat quickly and apparently painlessly. Topcoat remains in good condition -- no evidence of cutting/damage. The only difficulty I have is maintaining the ideal angle between the brush head and his skin as I move from section to section, especially transitioning from his back to sides. Unless the proper angle is maintained, the brush can not penetrate the fur and just slides over the surface. I may improve with further practice.

effective, but tricky to keep in proper alignment

While it does not live up to its claim of "reduces shedding by 90%", I did not really believe that anyway. The only thing that reduces shedding by 90% is.....winter. That being said, for about $15 this brush is fantastic. I was using one of those wire bristle brushes that is under $5, and when I would pull the fur out of the bristles, the bristles would stab me. I am sure it didn't feel too great for my dog, either. This brush has absolutely no sharp edges exposed and is impossible to cut skin. My dog actually gets excited when I reach for this, runs to the spot where I always take her to brush her and sits down waiting for me to start brushing. She nearly falls asleep while I brush her. Like I said, it does not reduce shedding by 90%, but it reduces the time I spend brushing by about at least half as compared to the wire brush. The first time I used it I got a ton of fur off the dog, and each subsequent brushing yielded less and less fur (about twice a week). My dog's fur is medium length and somewhat coarse (think German Shepherd texture). It did not accidently cut off any fur anywhere. If you use long strokes, the fur stays in the teeth of the comb and you can dispose of it easily. If you use short and focused strokes, a lot of fur starts coming out but sort of starts flying everywhere. Be prepared to vacuum the area afterward! Or brush outside in the breeze.
I highly recommend it, just keep your expectations about "reducing shedding" realistic, as I doubt any product can do what mother nature does naturally come winter time.

Although it says it will work on long hair it doesn't! We tried it on several Pomeranians and it was useless. It does NOT do what it says it just gets tangled up in the long hair. Perhaps it works on short hair or medium coat dogs but for a long hair double coated breed it doesn't work at all. We even tried brushing the entire dog with a pin brush first to make sure the long hair was combed through but this tool still doesn't work. A regular shedding rake will pull all the undercoat out quickly this thing doesn't even grab the undercoat it just glides over the top of it. If I needed a regular comb I could have bought one for $2. This ShedMonster was a total waste of money. If you have a long hair double coated breed don't bother buying this!
