Best toaster EVER!!!

My Oster toaster broke this morning. Broken hearted because ive had it close to 18 years. Stainless steel Oster two slots, 4 slice toaster. The control/settings were on the front, not the side. Trying to find one to order.

As described...works great with the long fresh baked bread. Thanks!

Did any testers at Oster actually put bread in the long shot toaster and see how the top of the bread doesn't toast and the bottom burns?  The only reason I keep it is it still somewhat works.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not impressed with this product. Selected it based on other very impressive Oster products. We experience uneven toasting and inconsistent toasting. I purchased my first one, that after 3 days stopped working entirely. I returned it for a replacement because I liked the features and style, but the replacement is disappointing. One side of bread is toasted, the other is extremely light, hardly toasted. Then the next batch will be burned at the same setting.

My wife bought this toaster because it matched our other stainless appliances. Good thing because that is the only thing productive that it has done. Only toaster I've seen that you have to watch it like an oven because it never pops up. Doesn't matter what you have it set at on the knob. It has some buttons you can push right after you put the toast down that will make it pop up about 30 seconds after you put it down. Gives your bread a little warmth.

Nice if you like your toast black or warmed.

I searched for a long and narrow toaster that could toast 4 pieces at once. Oster offered the only one I could find! I was very happy. However, within a month it popped up immediately and when it did stay down, it toasted inconsistently. Sadly, I had to pull out our old traditional Oster that we could for our wedding anniversary 10 years ago. So I know they make a could product, just not this one.

style I wanted but not the performance

This is a great toaster,BUT just saw it for about $20 less on Amazon ,Dang! Save some money
