I like the handle for easy moving and it doesn't take up much space with its small footprint.  The price is a little high, but  totally worth it.  I'm very happy with this purchase.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'd heard about OttLite from other sewists %26 I didn't want a light strip or lamp to brighten the area under my needle, so I chose the craft %26 sewing version.
It's quality made, easy to operate.
I looked up how to change the bulb, (independently %26 also via OttLite) if I ever needed %26 searched replacement bulbs, learning %26 finding both.
I like it.

Perfect light for closeup work.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the best light for close-up work. It is lightweight. It does not cast shadows. All you have to do is slightly move it to focus the light on one section of your artwork or handiwork.

Excellent craft lamp

I've been buying Ott lamps for more than twenty years. Some of them are used for plant lights, others for desk lamps, and, best of all, I can check colors to be sure my socks match (that's the least useful color check, but sometimes necessary).

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought it to replace one I've had for years that I loved, but after I accidentally knocked it off the table the hinge broke and the light bar no longer worked (bulb still worked).  I use it for needlework and I love it even though sometimes I have to unplug it to shut it off.

Extra light for sewing.

I loved my old ottlight which died. I bought this one to replace it. It isn't as good. It is hard to open, doesn't open all the way straight up, is much heavier and the bulb doesn't seem as bright. I'm keeping it because you no longer make one like the one I loved.

Do not buy this lamp!
It was a gift and my brother had to put the
Bulb in himself.  He tried many times and the bulb would not go in.  The manufacturer is in China.  Do yourself a favor do not buy this lamp!  I got a credit when lamp was returned!

Not worth it!
