New Ott Light

OttLite

I love my new Ott Lite! I had another desk lamp, but the difference in the original Ott Lite is astounding. At the end of the day, my eyes are less tired, which contributes to greater energy for me. I have the one with 2 arms, and I love the ability to direct light where I need it. The height is just right and it is somewhat adjustable. I intend to buy another one just like this for my other office.

Buy the original Ott Lite

I bought this for my husband to use at his desk and he's very pleased with it. It gives light where he needs it most and has a nice soft color. Easy to adjust position and light settings.

Excellent desk lamp

I love OttLites! I wanted the brightest desk lamp to replace my old one that finally gave out. This one does not seem nearly as bright, and it's so hard to compare brightness settings when buying these. Also, the controls are very sensitive, which would be great except I keep inadvertently changing the settings! I like to keep it right by my side while I'm working, but I find that if my hand or crafting materials touch the lamp lightly it changes the settings and I have to fuss with it to get it back to the way I like it. All in all, though, it is an Ott Lite, and I would recommend them to everyone who does detailed work!

Great light; sensitive controls

Not appropriate light for my needs. I would return it in exchange for another one like I previously purchased but I have already been using it.

Like my travel light

Getting the brightness of the OttLite brand is great.  I do like how there are multiple colors this light can do. I also like how I can change both the position of the lights themselves and the flexablilty of the arm.   What I do not like though is the fact that the power button is very touchy and if you press to hard or not hard enough it won't come on.  You have to hit the power button at the same exact pressure to get it to come on which for me leads to sometimes it coming on with 1 push and sometimes I have to hit the button 3 or 4 times before it comes on.    I also like having my lights on a "smart" plug so I can turn it on as I'm waking in the dark room but this one has to have the power button pressed each time once the power is cut off so it won't work with the smart plugs.     Overall great light but because of not working with smart plugs and the fact the power button is touchy I have take 2 stars from it.    For those that don't need it on a smart plug or doesn't mind the touchy button you might see it as a 4/5 star light!

Overall a nice lamp.

It worked well for maybe a year or so, but suddenly refused to turn on. I don't have the receipt so I cannot qualify for a warranty. Given the price I can't justify buying another for it to only work a year, which is a shame because it was bright and the dual arms are wonderful for an L desk

Works but not for long

I had purchased this lamp about 6 years ago and it was amazing, it recently died out. So I purchased again and the quality is terrible. Feels cheap and the lamp lasted me a day before it started flickering and making a noise. I submitted a claim and have not heard back. 
These are my favorite lamps it's a shame the quality has gone down.
