Protection

I originally purchased the Commuter case to protect my Note 5 and wasn't completely satisfied with the screen protection and I had to keep the phone in my back pants pocket. I purchased the Defender case and am very satisfied with the screen protection, case protection and as a bonus the case came with a belt holster. No more back pocket. Life is Good!

This Otter Box case is very nice, fits perfect for the Galaxy Note 5, the pen works very well even through screen protector on the Otter, could not be more pleased Thanks for a quality Case, Otter Box.. ( Side Note) Even works with the Samsung wireless Charger, just place it on the charger and Waaalaaa she starts charging even through the case..

I bought a Galaxy Note 5 for me and one for my wife. We wanted to secure them in cases, as our prior phones were much worse for wear after 2years without a case. Given the dearth of options that provided actual protection instead of just paying lip service to the concept.

Otterbox has a well-known and well-deserved reputation as best-in-breed security for devices, so I checked them out, found the price to be reasonable. Ordered 2 of them from the website, and bingo bamo - they showed up timely and efficiently.

Getting the case out of the box was a challenge as part of step 1. Not overly difficult, but the packaging is engineered well, so effort is required.

The real challenge was pulling the 3 parts of the actual Otterbox case apart. SPOILER ALERT: you have to work the rubber off around the outer edge. Then slightly move the tabs to create separation.

Once I figured that out, it was easy as pie, and all is well since.

Study and secure

This is the best extended warranty you can buy for your cell phone! I have had lousy treatment, erratic quotes, fishy warranty offers and questionable repairs from carriers. I have encased mine and my family's phones in otters for years and the cases have saved us thousands! I work in a shop and have dropped my phone more times than I can imagine and expect to see a crack every time I pick it up but all is aok. We now have 3 working backup smartphones(still in their otters) in our family after our last upgrades and don't fear we will need them, thanks to otterboxes immediately installed on the new phones!

I bought this case for my son and he absolutely loves it. He's an electrician and needed a sturdy case and this is it.

It is a bulky case but it is worth it as long as it protects my phone.

Had a Defender case for my previous phone. There was never a question that the new one would be protected with a Defender.

Maybe there are others out there like Otterbox, but why question the durability that brings peace of mind from Otterbox.

Been There, Done That

I was very concern w/protecting my new phone which was  large smart phone & very expensive.  The Defender Otterbox Case I purchased was just the protection it needed & I especially enjoy the clip that functions as a "kickstand".  The sale staff were excellent; professional, friendly & very helpful.

My Otterbox Defender Case

Otterbox just makes the best cases. I don't know why you would use anything else. I have had this specific case for about a month. The only thing I am wondering about is the flap that opens up to the charger port. I feel like I'm stressing it every time I open it to charge my phone. So other than waiting to see if that will hold out. Great case.
