I once inadvertently tested how well OtterBox works. I've got one of my iPhones on the trunk of my car was going about 50 miles an hour when I realized what I had done just in time to see it fly off. The phone survived and I went bought another otter box.

The Otterbox Defender series is the best phone case on the market. Its the only case that makes me feel comfortable using my phone. I had an iphone 5s for 3 years with an Otterbox case, and there wasn't a single scratch on it. Absolutely pristine condition. I dropped it plenty of times. The best!

Best phone case out there.

I first purchased an iPhone 5s and now have upgraded to an iPhone 7. I did quite a bit of shopping before I bought a case. I work in a body shop and things do happen but my OtterBox phone cases  have kept my phones  perfect! In fact when I went to trade in my  phone the young lady at the counter and I almost had to break the OtterBox case to get it off. That case is indestructible and I wouldn't trust my investment to any other. Thank you OtterBox!

Only phone case I've ever purchased

As you get older the eyes start to fade & your grip isn't as steady as it once was. The iPhone Defender is the perfect solution. There isn't any worries now with the ability to locate my phone & not worrying about the occasional slippage. Secure & safe is a definite recipe for peace of mind for an investment.

Recipe for Peace of Mind

Fits perfect but is not specific for the SE model. There is a window on the back of the case for the Apple logos that were on the older "7" and "8" models. The new SE does not have the logo so it looks like I have the wrong case for the phone! Oh well!

Does the job for iPhone SE model

This case is rugged!  I love that. It's easy to install and offers fantastic protection. It's only flaw is a pretty big one for me. I used the phone for about a week without a case waiting for this one to arrive in the mail. The phone is so sensitive to my touch, it was so easy to send a lengthy email or to write a simple text. After installing the case I fount that the sensitive phone I loved was gone. Now it was very difficult to text let alone write an email. I found I was using dictation for everything. For some reason the plastic screen protector does not lay flat on the glass. It has the ever so slightest gap between the protective layer and the actual screen. So you must push hard enough to close that gap. That my not seem like a big deal but if you were to YouTube removing the screen protector from these cases you would not only find a ton of videos but you would see that they have been viewed by tens of thousands. So I know it's a common issue. 
I could drop my phone from my hand and I would not even check to see if anything happened to it because I know it's that well protected. I love that!  Now just to figure out if I will be one of the many to remove the included screen protector and replace it with a glass protector or not. I really think that is the route I'm going to take because I really miss how well the actual phone screen works.

Almost perfect!

I ordered the wrong size for my phone and sent it right back, so this is not a performance review. I might not have kept it if it had been the right size. It's much thicker than the Otterbox I'm replacing and would be a tight squeeze in my pockets or fanny pack. For those who want a heftier and stronger case, this might be great.

Ordered the wrong size

The case itself is sturdy and feels secure. I am less impressed with the plastic screen protector as it makes using the screen a lot more clumsy. It doesn't sit flush against the phone screen so makes an annoying tapping noise and a lot of the time I have to re-type things because it doesn't pick up what I have tapped. Don't know how long I will be able to put up with that.

Not that impressed

Unfortunately, the screen protector of my case does not seem to be flush on the screen of my phone and makes it very difficult to type on. Also, I got the Borealis colour of the case and in less than a week it looks very dirty. Love Otterbox products but this particular case was not great for me.

Protects the phone but it hasn't even been a week and the rubber part of the case stains easily. And it just won't come off. No point of buying a new case if it's just gonna look old and used after a weeks use. (Got the case same day I got my iPhone 7) DONT BUY LIGHT COLORED CASES

Eh. Probably not worth all the money

Much lower quality than previous OtterBox cases.  The hard plastic is cheaper and the mold isn't flush against my phone edges, especially at the home button.  As a result it catches on things including my thumbs.  The soft part of the case was also cheaper and could clearly see deformities from the molding process.  Also the charging/earbud port flap is already ripping off less than a month of use.  Makes me nervous about the over all claims that OtterBox says about the shock resistance and if it can actually effectively protect my phone like previous OtterBox cases again.

Not the same quantity.  OtterBox in name only.
