OtterBox is a really good brand and I would buy it before any other case is the best. They have good prices and you can catch them on sale. I'll try other brands. They just don't work that well OtterBox last like it says Auto shell skin whatever it is is very hard and doable so it's OtterBox case cases.

Have been using otterbox defender cases for the last 15 years on phones and tablets. They are the toughest cases and I have never had a device damaged. My only complaint on the 16 pro case is the camera button hole. Why?!?  It is the most annoying thing ever. Why leave it exposed? It bothers me enough that I really want to change cases, but I am afraid my phone won't be protected with something else.  It gets touched unintentionally ALL the time. It is awkward to hold and just all together a terrible design. If there was a different option that was the same durability I WOULD DEFINITELY CHANGE.

Please redesign and cover the camera button

This is my fourth Otterbox case and I'm disappointed at the large gap opening/exposure for the new camera button on the right side.  Sure, I'm a little concerned about that Achille's heel for damage, but I also don't like the giant opening and lack of trim on top when you pick up the phone or use it in your hand.  I realize the designers had to leave an opening for the new tactile camera button, but it just seems like the case should have had a rail on both sides (top and back) for your fingers to utilize.  The giant opening only leaves a slippery case, not a tactile surface.

Otterbox iPhone16 Pro Max case is so-so

The magnet isn't strong. It doesn't connect securely. The case already looks trashed because everything sticks to the material. Grant it, I have a somewhat dirty job as I am a mail carrier but I bought an Otterbox because of it. When it first came in I loved it! The color was pretty. I ordered the denim blue. I haven't even had it for two months and it looks awful. The dirt and dust sticks into the texture. I am quite disappointed. The outer shell doesn't even fit that securely. Big let down, Otterbox.

Big Disappointment

I've always considered the Defender Series Pro the best phone case for protection, until this one.  I've had a Defender Pro for all my previous iPhones.  I was hesitant about purchasing this newest one because of the lack of coverage along the camera control.  I don't like that this case wasn't designed to cover that edge.  The large gap leaves too much exposed for the possibility of damage.  After using it for a week, I decided to go with a different brand for better protection.

I really enjoy the defender series. 

HOWEVER,
OtterBox Defender Series Pro for MagSafe for the 16 Pro Max is horrible because it has an open space o part of the cover.

I don't even need that open space- what is the point of that?? The whole idea of a case is to keep everything secure and covered -

I understand that Apple put a camera button there which is completely unnecessary because we have the camera button on the face of the screen, hence OtterBox made a case with an open area, but they should also offer something without it being open because it defeats the whole purpose of a case 

ALSO,  

the current 16 Pro Max case is hard on the finger when you're swiping up or side to side because the lip is too high.

HORRIBLE

Don't buy this case if you work in harsher conditions. The cutout is a good feature but, if you put your phone in pockets the edge of the screen protector gets hit and cracks. I've had to replace them two times already and going to replace the case with one that doesn't have the cutout.

Bad design

I used to love the defender cases. They have always protected my phone unfortunately with the new iPhone the design that they chose for the cut out leaves the front of the phone open and vulnerable and I have already broken my screen there. We'll be getting a different case looks like they have another style case that protects the button and the screen fully.

I always have defender case for my phone and this one is double the price and half of quality. The plastic it's tinner   then before, also the rubber around keeps popping out the slot.

Its not worth it

The case has a giant gap for the camera button. The entire reason I buy otterbox cases is for the extra durability. Having an inch wide exposed  spot on one side is just a baffling design.

I will be returning and shopping else where
