I just love the Otterbox case it protects my phone from cracks and from being shattered. I dropped my phone a few times on the screen side but the thick rugged rubber case protect it from any cracks. Nothing I hate worst than trying to see thru a cracked screen so I carefully researched the best case for my phone. Phones are expensive these days so I wanted the very best for my phone so the Otterbox was my best choice.

I have used a Defender case on 4 different cell phones since 2012. I have never had a drop or fall that damaged a phone with the case. They are "grippy" in the hand; the multiple layers of case materials give excellant heft and feel in the hand. 
The belt carrier portion helps to protect the screen when in a pocket or backpack / dufflebag / briefcase. 
The Defender Pro has a bit more thickness
to the outer casing, so I chose to upgrade for my latest case.
I am very satisfied with the Pro case. 
The only problem I ever encountered with any Defender case is the charging port cover. After about a year or so of opening and closing it daily for charging, it can begin to weaken or tear at the flex line.
Only had one that tore off - and that was on a Galaxy S3 that I used for six years!
I'd say that is an excellant record.
Some say they are too pricy; but safety and
protection is well worth the cost.

I had the same brand before but used it for over 3 years ....it wore out taking it in and out of the holster so I got a new one.

Nothing beats this phone protector

I had my prior cellphone for 5+ years with an otterbox on it the entire time. I have a neurological condition that makes it difficult for me to hold on to items. Needless to say my phone hit the ground quite often.  When I removed my old phone to trade in it looked brand new after cleaning (I did use the old version glass screen protector). Of course,  I'm typing this review on my new phone in an otterbox,

No cellphone without an Otterbox

I love the case but I was very disappointed that there is no longer a screen protector and that the price didn't change either.

I am very happy with the case.  However I would like to have a screen protector.  Not an inexpensive case so I would think a screen protector would have come with it.

Very good case

This didn't fit properly. The part that covers the volume and power buttons were slightly off.. enough that I couldn't use them unless I took the case off
