You buy the Fre case for MAXIMUM protection and it delivers every time. An exposed screen phone case gives you a different feel but at a risk I'm just not willing to take. Been a Fre case fan for a long time because it's flat out reliable.

I bought this for my iPhone 16 pro max. It was a long wait to get it but finally hit the market. It weighs about half as much as the case I was using. It's completely sealed from dust, water, mud and everything else. The side buttons are a little bit hard to push but I figure it's still new and will get easier. I've been using Lifeproof cases for years after running over my iPhone with a medium size tractor with liquid filled tires and smashed my phone in the ground. I had to use a stick to pry it up and the only thing wrong was a scratch on the screen cover. I was sold. Can't say enough good things about them. Totally covered, screen, camera & charging port. Mag charging is a breeze too. In my opinion anything else is a waste of time and money. Get yourself one, you won't be disappointed.

Great phone case

Have had several of these cases for different phones. Love the rugged protection they offer. More color options would be nice but I always come back to this case. The buttons are a little stiffer with this particular case than I am used to but hoping they will loosen up some. All in all a good case and would recommend.

iPhone 16 Pro Max with black otterbox fre.

I was eagerly waiting for the release of the OtterBox case for my iPhone 16 Pro Max. As someone who has always relied on OtterBox for my previous Pro Max phones, I was initially disheartened to learn that the FRE case wasn't available right away. I was hesitant to even use my new phone without my trusted OtterBox protection.

In the meantime, I purchased the best OtterBox case that was available, but I was extremely disappointed with its durability. In less than a month, I went through two screen protectors and two cases! I found myself constantly checking for updates on the FRE case, feeling nervous about my phone's protection.

When the FRE case finally became available, I was ecstatic! Unfortunately, my first one seemed defective, which left me feeling frustrated. However, OtterBox was responsive and sent me a replacement. I'm thrilled to say that the new case works perfectly—just like all the previous ones I've owned!

Now that I have my FRE case, I feel like I've invested in the best protection for my phone, much like putting a cover on a luxury car. I love it! Thank you, OtterBox, for coming through in the end!

Like a champ!

Great case overall that is easy to hold and looks good while protecting my phone. The only downside is the plastic screen protector, or I would give it five stars. I am a big fan of glass screen covers and do not like the feel of the plastic as much.

Great case

I love my waterproof case since I'm around water quite a bit. I can see why it's not compatible with the holster since it is causing somewhere where it snaps into place. So far so good, but I can see where eventually it may cause the case to leak.
The acronyms used in the website are confusing.

Overall a solid case. Built in screen protector gives screen a cheap like feel and doesn't stick to the phone creating a very small amount of space between protector and phone. Other than that it's great.

Great case, but-

This is a nice case except for one problem, when you go to your contacts and you want to go to a certain letter let's say the D's the case is so close to the letters that it's hard to hit the letter. I find myself constantly trying to hit whatever letter I'm trying to go too. Should have made that piece on the side thinner to allow more of the letters to be seen.

Boyd's 16 pro max case review.

Buttons are very stiff. The screen cover restricts ease of touch-screen function as it does not sit fully on screen (floats). I removed the screen and continue to use a normal screen protector. I upgraded to this case from the commuter case as my screen protector kept cracking at the location of the cut-away for the side camera button due to the edge being exposed. I never "drop" my phone, but something just tapping that area ends up cracking the screen. So far with this new case I've not had any issues other than what I noted above. I'm confident that my phone is safe as it could be. I also bought a second for my wife and did the same modification to hers removing the screen.

iPhone 16 Pro Max OtterBox Frē Series

This case is almost everything I wanted. Complete protection that I can be confident in. However, the buttons are EXTREMELY hard to press with the case on. I don't think I've had a case with more difficult button presses throughout my time owning a phone.
