Packed with protein-rich chickpeas, sweet potatoes and bold Indian-inspired spices, Our Finest Chickpeas & Sweet Potato Dhal Ready to Serve Soup makes a quick and delicious meal. Pre-cooked and ready to heat, this dhal is great for a quick weeknight dinner or tangy boost of warm comfort. The mild heat of the dhal soup makes it easy for the whole family to enjoy. Serve it with a side of cooked rice or naan, or top it with fried onions for an extra level of satisfaction. To heat the chickpeas and sweet potato dhal soup in a 1200-watt microwave, transfer the contents into a microwave-safe bowl. Cover, and microwave on HIGH until warm, stirring before serving. To heat it on a stovetop, transfer the contents into a saucepan and cook over medium heat until warm, stirring occasionally. The Ingredient Wise symbol appears on products made without these ingredients: synthetic colours, artificial flavours and sweeteners, hydrogenated vegetable oil, monosodium glutamate.

Includes nutritious components for meals or snacks.

Has a balance of spices that complement other ingredients.

Just the right amount of spiciness. I love the soft bits of sweet potato mixed in with the chickpeas. Delicious!! And the size of the can is a good portion for the price.

A Little Sassy

Caddle

My family enjoys the thickness and slightly spicy taste of this unique soup. It's a comfort food that we often reach for during the cold, winter months. A unique flavour that other brands don't offer.

A Lovely Soup

This soup was very delicious. The flavour was perfect and the aroma was not overwhelming. Will buy this soup again and will try others from the same brand.

Chickpea and sweet pita dhal soup

This is a different but good tasting soup. It's been cold out, and this hits the spot. A bit of sweet from the sweet potato, but not overwhelmingly sweet. I also like chickpeas so those made the soup extra interesting

Great for winter

I'll be honest, when I first opened this can of soup, I wasn't entirely sure that I would like it. Even after my first spoonful, I wasn't sold on it. But the more I started eating it the more I started really enjoying it. I feel like it's restaurant quality soup. I would probably buy it again.

Surprisingly good soup!

The title says it all. It's a hearty soup with just the slightest tang. The pairing of sweet potatoes and chickpeas go well together. I enjoyed this soup on a summer day, and it'll was fine then, but I think I'll really enjoy it on a crisp fall day more.

If You Like Curried Chickpeas, You'll Like This

I tried this soup and was unsure of the taste at first. I added some crackers which also added some much needed salt. Overall it was tasty and I'd recommend it to people who like to try different tastes.

Sweet Potato Dahl Soup

The seasoning and flavour of the soup is ok - not a lot of heat but still nice taste. The texture left a lot to be desired. Almost mealy, and seemed as if the chickpeas hadn't been left to soak long enough.

Flavour is ok, texture disappointing.

I had high hopes for this, finding a soup that was vegetarian which is rare, but I was left disappointed. I love chickpeas and sweet potatoes but could barely taste them. The flavour was quite bland.

Overall Disappointed

I'm always looking for new soups to try and I really like chickpeas and sweet potatoes both so I thought I would try this soup. Well needless to say I was quite disappointed because the liquid does not look like the picture on the can. The liquid is very thin and there's just a lot of chickpeas with hardly any sweet potatoes. There was maybe 3 pieces. I also found it to be quite spicy at least for myself. I don't like spicy food with a fair bit of heat and I found after I would swallow this soup there would be a hot spiciness lingering in my mouth. I just wasn't overly impressed with this soup and will not be buying it again.

Very thin liquid and hardly any sweet potatoes.

Our Finest Chickpeas & Sweet Potato Dhal Ready to Serve Soup centered bowl view showing chickpeas, sweet potato chunks, tomato pieces and coconut paste; mild-heat ready-to-heat dhal with a naan serving suggestion and Ingredient Wise symbol noted; suitable as a quick weeknight meal or often used as a curry-bowl base.
