I don't know what people are expecting... for the toy to be invincible? It's a dog toy and they break. My dog is very hard on toys but this is the only one that has lasted longer than a week. Sure she chewed the head off but the body is intact and she loves it still. Most other toys she gets bored of.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product as part of the Spark Reviewer Program. I was given this dog toy to test out and review. When I opened the package, I thought this toy would be destroyed in minutes. Much to my surprise it has been 3 weeks and it is still going strong. My dogs play tug a war daily with this toy. The long thin neck and head make this easily done. They are both 100lb labs who are very strong, so this game of tug a war really does put a strain on the toy. It has not frayed or ripped in the slightest which is usually a problem for my dogs for any type of tug a war toys. It has the crinkle feature that gives the effect of paper being crinkled. It is supposed to keep the dog entertain and amused. This feature really doesn't seem to be much appeal to either of my dogs. I think maybe a squeaker would probably have been more appealing for my dogs. I highly recommend this toy. My dogs have gotten hours of enjoyment from it. I do plan on purchases a few more since it has worked to well for us.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a sturdy well made dog toy that is in the shape of a pheasant. I have an extra large (115 lbs.) golden retriever who is a very heavy chewer. He was so proud of his new "toy"! He carried it around in his mouth by the neck and sat with it to chew on it for hours. It has a recycled water bottle inside that makes a crinkle noise when dogs chew on it. Even though my dog was able to chew through the rope after awhile, I really believe he is the exception to the rule. Most dogs would not be able to chew through it and expose the inner water bottle. It is well made, and I would recommend it. My dog still likes chewing it even though the water bottle is now out of it. He keeps it on the rug where he sleeps.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The large Crinkle Pheasant is a great dog toy made by Outback Jack. It is 100% natural, the head and beak are made of leather, and the body is made of a sturdy wooley cotton rope. Inside the body is a recycled water bottle. It is environmentally friendly and has been recuse tested. By purchasing a recycled, environmentally friendly product, you are helping to sustain the planet's resources. The body of this toy (the rope part) is a deep green and white. The head is a deep burgundy with a deep green beak, both of which are leather. I feel this toy would be best suited for a larger size dog as it is a bit heavy. My dog is only about thirty pounds and so far she has not really been interested in the toy. I could see a larger dog really enjoying it, however, it will take a good deal of jaw strength to be able to bite down on the thick rope body enough to crush the water bottle enough to make a crinkling noise. All things considered, I think this is a great toy for someone with a large dog that has strong jaws.

100%. It is made of leather, jute and wooley cotton rope. The toy contains a 
recycled water bottle so the toy makes noise when played with. My dog did not 
care for the toy which is her usual attitude toward dog toys. My neighbor's 
dog liked the toy and she started playing with it immediately. Both dogs are pit bulls.

I put 2 pictures of the product before and after she played with it for a little over 2 weeks. Quiet toy, plastic bottle does not crunch much when playing. This toy has not gone outside. She hasn't done too much damage to the weaving.

Good toy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I first saw this I was certain it was going to be super sturdy and would last longer than a day and boy oh boy was I wrong. It literally didn't even last 90 minutes before the head (leather) was open and part of the rope body was chewed in half. Mind you, this is not thin rope, it's pretty sturdy rope. My dog had it open and the filling, that appears to be some kind of really course and strong haynif some kind? Not sure. The good news is that even though it didn't last but an hour, my dog loves it and just carries it around like it's his puppy. Lays with it and everything! Weirdest thing I've seen him do lol. I forgot to mention that's its pretty big! Shown is my 5 year old holding it up and it's half her body length.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would not recommend buying this toy. Our boxer started to pull the fibers apart within a few minutes and had the whole thing destroyed within a couple of hours. Not worth the money.

Outback Jack Wooley Cotton Rope Dog Toy, Pheasant-

Total waste of money. Not only did it not make it an hour before the head came of, it didn't make it a day bore the whole thing came apart. I am not even sure it is remotely safe for you pet given the inside is a old water bottle that breaks into sharp pieces. So, it is an expensive, cheaply made dangerous dog toy.

It took maybe 10 minutes for my pitbull puppy to bite through the head, eat and choke on the coconut fibers. Dont buy if your dog eats anything quick. I watched her while playing and she still managed to eat enough to upset her belly then throw it up only after calling an emergency vet.
