I absolutely LOVE this hat for many reasons. It's waterproof, the brim covers my face, ears & neck, it's adjustable around my head and under my chin. 
I bought my first one at least 15 years ago in a store in Maine. It's wonderful for boating, hiking, beaching, walking, and anything where you need coverage from the sun. 
It's easy to wash and stands up to the test of time. 
I just bought 2 more after researching the company. You just can't go wrong. 
My old one is still in use.

I love this hat!  It's lightweight but sturdy, with good wide brim and an adjustable fit.  And, it looks good!

I want more of these hats

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wore this hat river rafting and hiking last year and loved it. It's super lightweight and comfortable, the brim has enough stiffness to not flop down when wet, and the material is almost waterproof. I like it so much I've bought two as gifts in the last year!

The best adventure hat

I have been using this for hiking, fishing and kayaking. Keeps the sun off without overheating me. I've had other hats that work ok to keep the sun off but thick material causes sweating. This is nice and light and can be packed away or hung from a pack when not needed.

Great sun protection with excellent ventilation

Perfect for beachcombing, very lightweight, breathable with good venting, well constructed. Was it the most stylish accoutrement on the beach? I wouldn't go that far, but hey, you can't have it all. I was going for function and comfort and sun-safety

Great lightweight hat, good coverage

The day the hat arrived it poured and I got to put it to the test immediately! The water beaded up and rolled off and fell without soaking my shoulders and neck! Its performance in the sun was as good and I was surprised by how the vents worked. Great product.

Great Hat in the Sun and Rain

Since it doesn't fold up, I put this terrific sun hat at the bottom of my suitcase, underneath the rest of my clothes. My husband also has this hat, and I got the same size, a large. So, that is a consideration when ordering. It really protects from the sun and isn't too hot to wear in the heat.

A great hat for sun protection!

I used my new hat on my latest canoe trip into Quetico PP. It came in very handy as we had weather in the mid 30's (Celsius) for the 6 days that we were there. The hat is lightweight, has a great sized brim for blocking sun, and the chin strap kept me from losing it to the wind. I'm not a hat person, but I love this one and will continue to use it on my adventures.

Awesome product :)

I have 3! I love these hats when I'm going on a long sweaty hike. The sweat drains off the brim. It's great. Also, I look amazing in them. Washing them is a pain and they don't maintain their perfectly flat brim, but it's fine. Wish they would bring new colors. The red is great. The since-discontinued Lavender one goes great with some of their other clothes. Would love a purple one. Great hat.

I've had two of these and lost one. To replace it I ordered another one and sad to realize the design has been changed and it's no longer the great hat it once was. Brim is smaller so no longer protects from sun as it once did, and the logo pops out ruining the look, plus it now has ugly vents that are cumbersome. I returned it and found something else at an REI store.
