Love this shade and also the concept of all day color/stain.  Doesn't leave my lips dry like some.. I like to outline mine first and sometimes the tip isn't as pigmented with color and the sides of the lip pen so you have to turn it sideways a bit to get the color to be more bold but overall it works for me     May have to add a few layers.  But 2nd layer really adds MORE.  So assess after first coat then add.  TIP:  press lips together after first coat gently and it helps to blend in a little better 😁 this was 2 coats I put on at 7:15 am today and it's now 6:23 pm… all I did was retouch with clear gloss at around 3:30 today. That's all!!

I really like the color it lasts really well if you let it get good and dry before you eat or drink anything I've never tried it with kissing. I'm in my 70s and a widow so I don't have anybody to kiss but oh well one thing I did try with it which I really like cause I'm allergic to nail polish so I can't use that stuff so I used this as a nail polish on my toenails. It looks great. It lasted all week. I'm so happy.

Very good stuff

OMG!!GOES ON kinda wet but like a Crayola artist marker exactly, saturated with color and it doesn't fade at all for hours and hours,its best to use a bit of good lib balm i like softlips with it.and even with fresh stain  followed immediately by softlips it doesn't transfer AT ALL EVER PERIOD 🥰and its not sticky or dry lips feel NAKED,only with perfect color

I love this stain in Admire Pink. It goes on great and last all day. . I used it for years and suddenly Cover Girl discontinue it.  I surviived the discontinuance by purchasing it on eBay. To say. the least, I am thrilled to have found it a Walmart in a new taller and slender container, but with the same lasting power as the original. Please Cover Girl do not discontinue again.

Lush Lips

Loooooove these lip stain pens. I have them in 3 colors. I use the lighter pink shades to line my lips (just the cupids bow and bottom center) every day and then blend so there is no harsh line. They are perfect for a no makeup-makeup look, especially if your lips don't have a lot of color on their own. If I want it to be less subtle I'll fill in the entire lip. Lasts forever, easy to use.

Just as good as the other lip stain liner without the price! Picture is of 20 Admire with Essence  What the Fake, plumping lip filler in 02 Oh My Nude!

Don't be fooled by the expensive stuff!

At first I was unsure about this lip stain because it literally feels like you're drawing with marker on your lips, if I had to describe the texture of the product. However, the color is great, and stays for a long time!

Give it a go

I have two of these now, Heat and Crimson. It feels like a water based felt tip marker. The applicator itself isn't very comfortable, but the color is great. I'm over 55 and did notice some color bleed, but it lasted through lunch. I applied a lighter frosty lipstick over it this morning to lighten the color a bit, but the stain lasted all day. This with a balm or a gloss over it made for a great day at work.  It can be precise, and I found using the pen sideways made for easier all over application. My only issue was it was a bit difficult to really get it even on my mature lips.  The nice thing is if you want a bold color but muted for an every day wear, this fits the bill. I have silver hair and need a pop of color, but I don't need date night level lips for a day at the office or running errands. I used cold cream and micellar water with a cotton pad to remove each color. They both worked well. For the price, it's not bad. I've never been bifh with CG products, but this is pretty good.

Room for improvement but it's a good stain

I use this as lipliner with the ADMIRE covergirl outlast lipgloss. perfect match but the felt end of this applicator isn't moist enough with the product. dries out within a few uses. idk how anyone could use this on their whole lips, you'd get like 2 uses out of it.

Lip STAIN is hard to find, really, and this is every bit of "Brand" consistent, in that it really doesn't do much. I find these felt-tip pen style stains have the most ideal conceptual function, for what a "stain" would do (versus a lipstick or gloss, wherein it is truly STAINING" the lips and kiss-proof, etc.), but it's always (regardless of pricetag on this type) a freaking dud of a disappointment, performing pretty much the same as a Sharpie marker with 2/3 of the pen strokes and ink of writing the letter "B" before being dried up and trash-worthy. Since it is a cosmetic, adding rubbing alcohol is not useful since it is just going to increase the overall drynesss, so IDK. I am a believer in the higher the cost the higher the quality of product when it comes down to it for real-world make-up performance, with very few exceptions/dupes which are worth giving a try, but my lipstain quest which is an epic and ongoing search for the perfect lip cosmetic gives me the experiece to let ya know that these felt-pen style stains are about even across brands and price-tiers for being a huge let down and consistently work the same practically invisible way no matter what brand makes it. I do not think there is any go-to answer for this LITERAL life-long search of mine, but I will always go on with sheer openness to each new attempt to come across something that will reign supreme as the coloring makeup of my frickin' dreams, but it is also what can be said to work in a pinch and if you shake   flling nd smack it, tip downward, onto your knee or thigh a few times, it sometimes puts slightly more wetness there for applying. However, NEVER ONCE has any of these kind ever had one entire lips application in it from even the unboxing, so whatever. LOL... I am very serioious about lipstain. As to transfer=proof, I have no testing for that done and cannot give an opinion for that feature. Final comment is that it does compare pretty well to Stila's Calligraphy Lip Stain, marked when  writing this at over $20 at Sephora, so, if that is fine for your needs, this is 100% a true  "Dupe" gem!
