 the wood is thin.  But, the design is good, it goes together easily.  my grandson loves it!

I love the concept of this sanbox but I would not suggest buying this one or any of the ones made of wood online. The wood is very very very cheap. Half of the screws wouldn't stay screwed in. Just overall pretty junky. You could easily go to home depot and make your own that will last way longer than this one and probably be a lot cheaper. We've decided to go with a plastic sandbox from step 2.

Don't buy, go with a plastic sandbox
