Great Waterer!

I received my water on Wednesday morning. I made placed it in the chicken run. Filled it with water and watched for three days. The chickens did not touch it. I emailed. OverEZ  and ask what do I need to do to make them start drinking. I got a response back Monday after the office had opened that I should take my most dominant chicken and take her to the water and put her beak in it to push the water so she would drink. I did this with what I thought might be my most dominant hen with no positive results. Then my wife took one of our newer, freshly hatched six week old chicks and put her nose to it and it worked. I think the product is excellent. I have the oversize water and the oversized feeder so my wife and I can actually take a few days away from the house knowing that our chickens are gonna be watered and fed. Thank you so much for your quick response. Your product is excellent.

Untrained chickens

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Needs to be raised onto bricks or blocks. One nipple leaks. Chickens have difficulty with the nipples. I don't like the design. Planning to replace the cheap nipples with waterer cups. 
It is sturdy, and holds 12 gallons. Hopefully I can find a compatible heater to keep it from freezing.

I probably wouldn't buy this again. It doesn't keep the water cool enough in the summer. I have to add frozen water bottles to keep it cool. I wish it had more insulation for the summer months.
