I have been using Oxbow products exclusively for over eight years.  No other brand compares in quality, so if you love your animal friends this is the brand to buy.  My bunnies love it, and have never been sick
in over 8 years.  Also, they are not overweight, and have never had stasis, potentially deadly in bunnies.

I have three guinea pigs that go through lots of hay.  I decided to get this because it comes in a 50 pound box.

I liked the fact that the hay was fresh and shredded so that it was easy to get out of the bag and spread in my bunny pen.

Comes in a big box. Enough to feed two guinea pigs for at least 8 months!

Sometimes when I buy Oxbow, I get really soft, supple hay and it's perfect. Other times, the hay is dry, full of powdery shake, and too course and thick for my guinea pigs to eat. So whenever I buy this hay, I just have to hope that I got a good batch.

Somewhat hit-or-miss

We love Jet.com and make a big order when we're running low on supplies. This hay is quite dry but will still work. Our guinea pig loves hay and has not complained. (). I just notice that it's not as "green" as what we purchased last time.

I was running out of my normal hay that I get from Amazon and I knew I could get this faster. It wasn't the best quality and the hay was shorter and crunchier than it should be.

I was desperate!

The 9lb box I ordered is mostly unusable and nearly half is STRAW! completely unacceptable.  My guinea pigs just pull out all the hay. They won't touch it. I went as far as to contact Oxbow. Usually this stuff is great,  and the only thing I have bought for years. After this experience and getting a box stuffed with sharp, jagged and brown straw I am not sure I will purchase again. erg.

Usually good- last order is unusable!
