I have been using Oxbow products exclusively for over eight years.  No other brand compares in quality, so if you love your animal friends this is the brand to buy.  My bunnies love it, and have never been sick
in over 8 years.  Also, they are not overweight, and have never had stasis, potentially deadly in bunnies.

This hay is loose and not so tightly packed as some of the other brands.  The boys just love it!!!

Great ulity

it's quite good for the price, but the bunnies hesitated to eat it at first. later on, they got used to it. Yay!

The 9lb box I ordered is mostly unusable and nearly half is STRAW! completely unacceptable.  My guinea pigs just pull out all the hay. They won't touch it. I went as far as to contact Oxbow. Usually this stuff is great,  and the only thing I have bought for years. After this experience and getting a box stuffed with sharp, jagged and brown straw I am not sure I will purchase again. erg.

IMPORTANT MESSAGE: I've been buying Oxbow brand timothy hay for over 5 years for my 2 lop bunnies; it is the best I've found, until this recent order. I'll add that I know A LOT about hay because I also ride horses.  I've been ordering online from Walmart for the last 6 months for my bunny-quality hay — and all has been great (good quality + fresh). The most recent bag contained lots of FESCUE HAY sprigs. I have never seen this in any Oxbow purchase before. In less than 48 hours, I've painfully removed fescue hay sprigs (hard stick-like)  from my rabbits' eyes. As a result, they both have ulcers in their eyes AND it's cost me over $400 at my vet (in the last 2 days)! Most tragically, eye ulcers are extremely PAINFUL for animals. Extremely disappointed in Oxbow after all these years.
