Great flashlight!

most flashlights are only bright when close range. This flashlight is long range and very bright.

By far the best bang for your buck. Incredibly bright, focused beam and durable as heck. Has been dropped from ladders with a few dents and scratches but still works well. Using Duracell batteries it surpasses its runtime. Use it daily and had to change the batteries twice in a year.

CAME  YESTERDAY - A GREAT FLASHLIGHT - DON'T LOOK ANYWHERE ELSE THIS ONE FROM WALMART IS THE BEST.

The flashlight in the product pictures shows a flashlight with the CREE XML2 LED. However when i received mine i was very surprised to see that it actually uses the CREE XP-G3 LED which while newer is a significantly lower end and less powerful LED. I have the 300 lumen version of this flashlight that runs off 2 AA batteries and they are using the exact same XP-G3 LED across the whole lineup from the 300 lumen 2 AA version to the 700 lunen 4 AA version and to my surprise even this one which is the highest end 1000 lumen 6AA version.

I do really like the 300 lumen 2 AA one. I think it is a great little light but using that same LED in this model is just unacceptable for me especially given that the product images literally show a much better CREE XML2 LED. That was the main reason i had bought this light as i really didn't need another mediocre AA powered light in my collection. I ended up just returning it. I didn't even bother to open up the package.

Maybe it's not that bad if you just need a somewhat decent flashlight. As i mentioned i did not take it out of the package to test it so i cannot comment on brightness or performance but i did end up returning my unit for a full refund after i had realized this. I do not like false advertising I am pretty disappointed why they would downgrade the LED for no good reason. And as my previous experience with the 300 lumen version there's no easy way to take it apart and get inside to swap the LED for a different one so it was mainly a letdown for me.
