I received this as part of a promotional campaign. I have a 2 year old and almost 5 year old. Both kids LOVE this toy and what it can do. The 5 year old can understand the instructions Chase gives, the 2 year old just likes that he talks. Lots of buttons to push to make things happen, including a net and flashlight/megaphone. After a few minutes of inactivity, Chase sits on his hind legs and makes sleeping sounds. When my husband saw the toy, I told him it's about $50-$60 and his response was "I can see why". Great toy, definitely worth the cost.

Interactive Toy, kids love it!

Our 3-year old son absolutely LOVES Paw Patrol. And he was just absolutely amazed that his favorite character Chase came to live with us! He could hardly wait for me to get him unwrapped, I broke two nails in process as the little plastic tabs need to be twisted, but at least the good thing is that the toy came in great shape, nothing broken, and everything in perfect working order. I agree with one of the reviewers that the packaging engineers should test the unpacking in presence of a toddler who just wants to hold his new toy.
My son is too little to truly follow all of the steps of the missions that Chase takes him on, but that does not take away at all from the joy that this toy brought to our little guy. Chase speaks to him, all of his tools in his tool box work—the light, megaphone and even the net. My son had at first some difficulty reloading it, but after doing it enough times, he is starting to get a hang of it now. He just loves pushing the buttons on the backpack, working the tools and talk to Chase. Our neighbor's 5-year old son came over this weekend and they were both playing with Chase for about an hour. The older boy could definitely follow the commands much better and they were both working through all of the missions. I am amazed that my son is almost a week later still playing with this toy a lot. It is also very good size, almost the size of a small dog (a yorkie maybe) which makes it even more realistic for our son. It can sit and stand. My son was little disappointed that we could not walk Chase outside on a leash.
I am also amazed by how sturdy this toy is, we dropped poor Chase couple of times down couple of stairs and everything is still in working order…
The only thing I wish is that the toy would have a volume control. After about 40 minutes of hearing Chase shouting I feel like I need to leave the room. It is not extremely loud, and it does not bother my son at all, but if I could just turn it down a tad, that would be nice. And since my son sleeps with Chase in bed, I need to make sure we turn him off for the night. On a positive side, he sounds just like the pup on TV. My son will watch the show with his Chase toy in his lap.

Chase is on the case!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Mission Chases' voice is clear and sounds exactly like the character on tv. He is interactive and the questions that he asks are not only fun, but they encourage problem solving skills! The mega phone and search light really do work and are an added feature for fun! The search light isn't too bright, but it does a great job lighting up a dark area! I do wish that the net was connected by string, so it doesn't get lost too easily. It is currently not permanently attached. It is a sturdy toy and I am confident the moving parts will hold up to every day play! My Granddaughter really is so happy and excited having this toy to play with and said, 'OH MY GOODNESS THIS IS SERIOUSLY AWESOME I CAN EVEN HEAR MYSELF USING THE MEGAPHONE!" and "WOW EVEN HIS NET LAUNCHES!"

Excellent Toy for Boy or Girl

I was lucky enough to score one of these for  Christmas gift for my 4 year old girl this year! She will be extremely happy!

Great product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In review of Chase the Paw patrol dog, this dog was bigger than I expected. He measures about 12x12. He is made of heavy plastic and kind of looks like he will walk around but he doesn't. He stays crouched on his back legs. He will kind of stand up but that is about it. You can press his badge and he will give out different “mission” statements. The part my son loved the best was the shooting net that launches from the side. On one side a net will shoot out and the other side is a light and microphone. Your child can press a button and talk into the microphone and his voice will amplify. The one draw back to this toy is it is very loud. I wish it had a volume button that you could adjust it slightly. I also wish he walked around, that would be a nice feature. Since he was so big I thought for sure he would walk. I think the fact that he is bigger is good for little hands. My three year old loves Paw Patrol and did love the shooting net and light. So it is a toy he will enjoy. There is no assembly required, he was ready to go right out of the box.

Nice features for little hands

My 4 yr old kid loves the show, and when BzzAgent offered Paw Patrol Mission Chase for review, we were both pretty excited. I was surprised to find that the toy was much bigger than I expected. He is roughly ten inches long and ten inches tall.

Chase can move his head up and down while speaking the phrases during a mission. Just like a real puppy, Chase can sit down and stand up on his hind legs while moving his front paws up and down. All these movements definitely make the toy closer to the animated character on the show.

This toy can add a few hours of imagination play to your child's day, but only if she or he is a big fan of PAW PATROL show, and completely knows in and out of all the missions that Chase is talking about.

Pros:

-Well made toy with high quality plastic
-Head and leg movements mimic the character on the show pretty closely
-Big in size, well built buttons and backpack accessories not easily damaged

Cons
Instructions a bit too fast for kids below 5 yrs
Only kids familiar with the missions on the show can enjoy, others will have no idea what Chase is talking about
Reloading the net in the launcher a bit tricky and might need parent's help

My daughter loves the toy, especially the net launcher, and she has 'rescued' several kittens stuck in trees with Chase's help!

Mission Chase - Chase is on the case!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this item free to review so I have no reason to give you a sales pitch, this is just an honest review of the product. first it is a little hard to get out of the package so a parent will have to step in and help unpack but probably helps keep the toy from being damaged in shipping. Paw patrol Mission Chase only speaks in English. it requires 4 aa batteries which are included with purchase. Paw Patrol is for 3+ ages as it has some parts that are considered choking hazards. Paw Patrol Chase is a user friendly interactive toy that will keep the little ones busy for hours and since it has 24 different rescue missions and speaks over a hundred phrases ( around 130) it will keep them coming back repeatedly. Chase has a backpack that opens automatically during its missions or can be opened using the red and blue control buttons in the center of backpack. Paw Patrol Chase contains a rescue net that can be launched to rescue those in trouble during missions and it also has a search light and a megaphone to assist in rescues. Chase has a head that moves up and down and turns side to side as he speaks. Missions are started by pressing the blue and yellow badge on the on the front of Chase's chest. After showing the kids how to work the buttons and start missions and one walk thru of a mission and the functions they were able to operate all the features of mission chase. this toy seems to be made from a high quality plastic that appears will last a good while. They have only had this toy for a little over a week but so far things are going well and my grandkids enjoy playing with it. there are the occasional glitches that comes with most toys that have moving parts ( compartment doors stick, buttons stick ) but a light hit will correct problem when it occurs and kids have no problem with that. also this toy kind of cumbersome to take somewhere else as it will not fit in a childs backpack and might not be a great toy to take to overnight visits also not a sleep with toy . I can say that so far this has been a toy that my grandkids love to play with and they have not had anything break yet.

Awsome toy

Chase is a Big Hit!! We received him from BzzAgent for evaluation and review. My 3yr. old Grandson loves Paw Patrol and Chase. This interactive toy encourages imagination and participation, your child pushes Chase's badge and he talks them thru 1 of 24 missions utilizing his backpack that contains a flashlight and megaphone on one side and net launcher on the other. Chase moves up/down looks left/right and has 100 phrases. My concerns are as follows: The reloading of the net has proved to be challenging, there are two notches that the net must match up with while pushing in. The items in the backpack are on spring loaded arms and have to be folded in to allow the back pack to close. If a flustrated toddler applies pressure in the wrong direction these arms could break as they are not very sturdy. This would be very disappointing after spending $50.00 not to mention a very disappointed child.

Chase is a Big Hit, two concerns

He said momma we have a job to do. With pure delight he did everything he was told to do. I love that is gives instruction while being fun at the same time.

My 5 year old figured out all of the features and just how to complete the missions almost immediately. All of the buttons are very intuitive. She even figure out that if she holds all the buttons at the same time, Chase sings the “Pup Pup Boogie” song. The really sad thing is that she played with it and loved it for no more than 45 minutes before it broke. DO NOT let your child accidentally insert the net launcher piece in backwards… it will NOT come out. We tried everything, tweezers, screwdriver, my husband even tried to pull it out with pliers! Nothing. It's in there for good. And there is no way to take the launcher apart to retrieve it. So now, it's impossible to complete most of the missions that require the launcher. Sometimes you can press the botton and the toy thinks it launched it, so you can keep playing – but my daughter is really sad it's broken. I hope in future versions the company can improve the design so that there is NO WAY to insert the net in backwards. And in that same vein, maybe include a second net piece in case the first is lost, since launching the net is so critical to the function of the doll and missions.

My 5 year old daughter and 2 year old son just love Paw Patrol! My daughter actually wants to be a police officer with a dog like Chase when she grows up! It's just such a positive show with a great message for kids; nothing scary, no bad language - just dogs on cool missions to help improve their community! They were both really excited about the Paw Patrol mission Chase doll. We are so sad it's broken.
