Jam Resistance

Home Use

Build Quality

Clogs with multiple sheets, requiring frequent clearing.

Paper width can be restrictive, causing jamming issues.

Can be sturdy, but also prone to defects.

I planned to replace my old paper shredder a long time ago, but was only able to do it just now. It was a pleasant experience because not only works properly, but cheap, too.

IT WORKS and IS LESS EXPENSIVE

Exactly what I wanted. Very good equipment at a very good price.

Beautiful, good, cheap

This function well and the price is very affordable.

I like it.

Paper Shredder

Only purchased this shredder a week ago and it is the first one I have purchased. It starts to heat up after about 3min of steady use but I believe you are not supposed to continue running more than that without a break so likely normal. I don't put more than 3 sheets at a time even though info states you can put more - I find that more than 3 sheets bunch up then don't shred all the way through. I bought the Fellowes Shredder lubricant to go with my shredder because I read a lot of people report paper jams being the biggest problem - hopefully It helps prevent this. Can't report on longterm use because I haven't had it very long but if it continues to run like now, it is definately a good value purchase. Happy with my purchase so far.

Paper shredder

it is a $30 paper shredder. it does what it says. it shreds paper. you can't expect fancy bells and whistles for this price. it does stop working after about five or six minutes with a cool down period of about 19 minutes. I find you really can't do 6 sheets of paper at once without jamming it. three pieces max works best. it says it shreds credit cards. no it doesnt. i tried one three ways. never got more than an inch or so. i did have to unplug it a few times and clear out stuck paper underneath, but I haf to do that with my broken $150 paper shredder too.
For $30 O
I can't complain too much. for shredding credit card statements and home documents I'd rather pay $30. Yes it may take longer, but for something I use once in a blue moon, why pay more when this one does the trick.

similar to one I had before except this one doesn't have a continuous on setting only auto and off. Only three stars because it jams easily and you can't do more then three sheets or four if lucky regardless of what the manufacturer states.

Ok for the price

The strips are too long after just doing 5 sheets you have to empty the bin

It sucks

Jams constantly. Basically unuseable. I've had home shredders before and I'm used to dealing with occasional jams but this is ridiculous. I plan on returning.

Jams Constantly

Dare to put no more than one page at a time
