I bought a gallon of this paint in the spring of 2020 for a front concrete porch that is 68 years old and has been painted several times in the past. I was intrigued by the fact that it is "polyurethane fortified" since I have had trouble keeping paint on this porch as it has a tendency to retain puddles of rainwater in some areas. Despite the recommendation to use two coats, I only applied one because it covered so well. It went on smoothly, dried quickly and looked beautiful. It is now January 2021 and it still looks beautiful in Pittsburgh PA!
No bubbles, no peeling, no scratches and no tackiness.
Due to my excellent experience with this product I am astonished by the number of negative reviews. Fortunately I didn't read the reviews before I bought it!

Great Color Selection!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We painted our garden shed's floor and also part of my studio floor with this paint months ago. It has survived the weather and the foot traffic without any issues! We did two coats of it, and it looks like it should be good until next Summer (once foot traffic starts again). There were so many colors to choose from at the store that it made it difficult to decide but I'm very happy with the color with selected and with the results we still see.

Removed carpeting in our bedroom (yay!) Thought maybe we could use the hardwood floor "as is" but after seeing it, we knew it would have to be completely sanded down before refinishing. Since we've done that big project before on our entire main level in our former home, we decided to go the easier route: clean, prime, paint :-)

I primed two coats then put down three coats of this paint. I used the satin finish. Both my husband and I LOVE the look. It really speaks well to the modern cottage design we have.

Now....to see how it holds up to 3 dogs ;-) Usually they don't wrestle around in there though. I'm reallllllllly hoping that it'll hold up well because I truly did not want to have to seal with a water based poly. Even though they 'say' it's not supposed to yellow, I don't want to take a chance that it might. So we're sticking with no poly sealer.

VERY happy to say the no odor is great! It goes on very smoothly (I used a 2" brush to cut in around the room then a roller specified for floor coverings to roll on the rest of the area). Dries nicely and very smooth to the touch.

We followed the directions to a "T" when using this product. Always important to allow proper drying time and do NOT be in a rush to complete the project.

We're going to wait a little more than the 24 hours recommended before we put the furniture back into the room. I now have the all white bedroom of my dreams :-)

Classic colors, easy to apply, good coverage, but in terms of durability, it's a bit delicate. It's a must to read the directions about cleaning it once applied. (At the risk of stating the obvious, but then who really reads the directions after paint is applied?) I have to use a sponge mop to clean the porches that I painted with this. I once used a soft bristle brush to try and get out some stains and it took the paint right off, and the back spray of my power washer against the siding knocked big chunks of paint off. Just treat it carefully and don't aggressively clean it.

Be Gentle Cleaning It

“Not for use on exterior wood decks.”  The name of this product line is misleading to the general public. That being said, it did nonetheless stick to my (new) customer's exterior wood deck for 3 years. The previous contractor failed in buying this product for an outdoor.

Painted my basement with this paint almost 2 weeks ago this Saturday, and it's still tacky to my feet. Just seems like it's never going to dry. Like everyone else, I did all the required prep on the basement floor. I know that Valspar HAS to know that their products are not quality, and all reviewers are having identical problems! 
MY QUESTION TO VALSPAR: Can I paint over this paint with ANYTHING that will not require me to scrape up all this paint? I've never painted and had the paint NOT dry 2 weeks later! A ton of work for nothing.

2 weeks, still tacky

My husband followed all instruction regarding this product before applying to our concrete basement floor. We are very disappointed with the paint, it was rather thin and watery, so he applied two coats, within a week of application it is peeling off the floor. Will not purchase this product again.

I bought this paint for a covered outdoor patio with tongue and groove boards. Initially looked great after applying two coats. Now approximately 6 weeks after painting, following all listed prep instructions, my floor literally covered in places where this paint has bubbled. Previously this porch had been painted with a valspar exterior latex paint and had never had any issues with bubbling. Please read all reviews and do no purchase this paint it has serious issues and now has cost me literally days of work to fix. Thanks Valspar!

Bubbles everywhere!

My boyfriend and I prepped and prepped our patio. Pressure washed, and swept (swept, and more swept, I wasn't letting a single dirt spec get in the way of the paint#, waited for good weather conditions, and applied the new color just like the can said. The paint seemed runny but we decided to keep painting. Unfortunately, we're not the only ones experiencing less than satisfactory results. The paint looked great for 24hrs, but that's it. It has begun to bubble up in places, is easily scraped off, and the worst part is it is EXTREMELY slippery when wet #and will not dry off once it becomes wet), even morning dew wet, which could potentially be a very big insurance risk. The patio is now covered in rugs. The patio is going to need stripped and redone with a different type of patio/concrete paint. We feel defeated. We tried so hard to do everything by the book with this paint and get the best results, only to discover after the fact that, had we read the customer reviews, that this product would most likely underperform. To say the least, this project did not turn out as hoped. The entire interior of our house is painted with Valspar interior paint, which we get nothing but compliments on how nice and rich the colors are, we loved the interior paint, that's why we're very dissapointed in how this product performed.
