I've used Promix before and have been very pleased with results from last year.  It is an excellent choice for raised garden beds.  And when you look at the cost 3 bags of .75 cu ft bags of top soil, the difference makes Promix still more expensive but not nearly as much at looking at the price per bag. Then, add the cost of peat moss and perlite to add to the top soil cost and it is not much to step to Promix.

Promix or Topsoil

This is by far the best potting mix on the market. No sign of bug larvae when opening the bag. The soil compressed in the bag and the handle makes it easy to transport and store until use. It is great in pots. But I put the mix though a 1/4 inch soil sifter and use it as a seed starting mix.  Germination and plant health = excellent!

Best potting mix on the market

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This mix is a lot easier to work with than a big wet bag of potting mix.  Smaller bundle and easier to move around in my older days!  The quality of the mix is superb...

This soil was excellent for starting new seeds. I love the compact package for space saving and it immediately swelled with the addition of water. My seedlings are happy!

Compact, stackable, and it works!

Surprisingly, good soil for patio plants. I had 2 large planters and didn't want to spend a fortune on potting soil, so I purchased this instead.  It is used in nurseries for all of their plants and cuttings.  I had plenty leftover, so I used it on all my plants.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pro mix is a beautiful blend of organic material that is light and fluffy that plants love. None of the cheap fillers other brands use like wood chips. This is a quality product that both my seed starts and older plants thrive with both using it for outdoor %26 indoor pots. It's easy to transport lightweight packed well so vehicles don't get soiled. There's a reason why it's the first to get sold out. I'm happy with this product.

This is my favorite potting mix, it never has pests (many others have fungus gnats) and it retains moisture really well. Nice fine texture for small seed germination.

I love the Promix brand and wish more varieties and sizs were available.  I use this primarily for my begonias.  I also like that it is compressed making it easier to get home.  This mix drains just right to keep plant roots happy.

Growing with Promix

buyer beware...this package is deceiving, says compressed and 2 BAGS...so i expected that inside the outer package there would be 2 WRAPPED(SEPERATE) but BAGGED...NOPE! You open it and theres 2 very LARGE compressed blocks of soil and it was messy because I thought it would be also in bags! anyway, it's a large amount of soil...haven't used yet but even though i knew it was 2 cubic feet, just was surprised is all...oh, and it weighs A TON!!

High Quality Potting Soil. Better than miracle grow ever was or is today. I kid you not this potting soil is so nice I find myself idly playing with it while planning my garden! My plants are very happy and of course thats the main thing! 

Its amazing how expensive dirt is these days and most other brands are full of wood chips and other detritus. Ive not found one gross thing in the 5 bags I have used so far this year. 

In addition this is the cheapest soil!!! 6 bucks a cubic foot! 
They will not have this for long so get it for your seasoned planting while you can. I cant find this at home depot or lowes either only at Wal-Mart
