This makes a decent cup of coffee.  The coffee ground holder is a little on the small side i had to cut the the filters so they wouldn't bunch when closing it. Plus side, making 6 cups is fast and hot and good. They make a better model for around  50 to 70 Dollars that do proramables if your into that.  i would buy it again if i had to.

The handle of the carafe turns and stores inside the base while waiting for your next cup of coffee. To fill with water, you simply lift the front lid and pour water in.  The brew basket swings out for easy filling.  The carafe and brew basket is dishwasher safe for easy cleaning. The on/ of switch is lighted so you can readily see if the coffee maker is on or off.  It stops shipping coffee if you remove the carafe to grab your first cup without waiting for the whole pot to brew. All this and a 12 cup capacity.

I knew I couldn't get a super bulky one—I wanted something I could easily hide in a cabinet when not in use. This works perfectly! I compared it to my home coffee maker so you can see the difference. A standard reusable filter fits well in the basket even though it is small. When storing, there's a spot for the cord to stow away underneath, and you can turn the handle Of the carafe inward and it goes into the body of the machine for a more streamlined fit. The basket comes out for easy cleaning and the speed of the coffee maker is comparable to the one I use at home. So glad I got this!

The front-fill feature makes it more convenient to use compared to other coffee makers. It looks sleek too. Being able to hide its handle so it doesn't stick out makes more room on my counter and is a unique feature that I have not seen in other coffee makers. All that and the fact that it can still make 12 cups of coffee despite its small size means this is an all-around great coffee-maker. I recommend to anyone who wants to have more space on their countertop and still have the ability to make 12 cups of coffee.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love out Hamilton Beach Proctor Silex Front Fill Compact Coffee Maker. The size is perfect for small counter space, yet makes a full size pot of coffee! I love how the water is filled right in the front under the lid. This eliminates having to pull it out and awkwardly fill it. The coffee is brewed hot and stays hot which I love. It is easy to clean and when you are all done it fits perfectly together for a neat sleek look on your counter. Honestly there is nothing about it I would change.

Compact With All The Perks Of Full-size

When you pour out of the pot, coffee runs down the outside of the pot onto the table. On the plus side, company sent a newer model to replace.

Faulty glass pot engineering or bad glass shaping.

First off the 'Lid' of the pot is not aligned with the pour spout.
Second even when i ensure the pot is inserted all the way it doesn't open the basket far enough for water to drain into the pot!
