I got this chair for my recording studio because it is a very small space and I needed a pedestal chair that I could sit on for long periods of time and be comfortable,  and it does all of that! The only thing I would caution other buyers on is that the ad states that it is suitable for regular dining height at the lowest height, and in fact it is not.  I had to purchase a footstool so that I could be comfortable because it is too tall for regular tables or desks, even at the lowest setting. I am 5'9” and even for me, it was too high. Otherwise this is an amazing product, and yes I know it is a bar stool. I'm very happy with it.
