[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This 4-way switch is just as simple to install as the normal 2/3 way switches. So simple to just snap it in place when the wires are attached.  I love the adorne line!

4-way paddle switch

Before anyone rips their hair out, or chucks the switch across the room. Throw out everything you have ever been told about reading instructions, literally throw away these instructions that come with it. 

As other comments have said... take your wires from one three way switch, attach to the black screws. Then take your other wires from the following three way, attach to the gold. 

The 4 way switch needs to be in between your 3 way switches. Good luck!

The instructions... sigh.

Load 14/3 red wire from 1st 3 way switch must go to “in” on bottom; load 14/3 black wire must go to “out” on top.  14/3 red wire to the next  3 way switch must go to “out” on bottom, 14/3 black wire must go to “in” on the top

Customer Support

Spent way too long troubleshooting our new 4-way switch.  Turns out the product instructions are wrong, as previous comments have also indicated!  

You must wire the switch based on terminal color, NOT the in/out as the instructions say.  If you match gold terminals to one 3 way switch wires, and black terminals to the other 3 way switch wires, it will work.  Pay no attention to the "in/out" that is printed on the switch that the instructions tell you to reference.  Very frustrating...

Please fix wiring instructions!
