Does a good job of cooking, but when a recipe says the cooking time is for a microwave with a different wattage than this model, there's no way to estimate the correct cooking time because the power levels on this model have no equivalents designated by wattage, only such terms as medium, medium high, etc.

I bought this microwave in October 23. I needed a countertop microwave small enough to fit the cabinet space where my 20 yr old (now broken) microwave used to sit. This Panasonic and three other name brand microwaves would work, but the Panasonic was the top rated of the three so I went with it. It is a good microwave. It does the job I need it to do, but as other reviewers have mentioned, I think Panasonic could make it a great product with some retooling. First, the door is really hard to open. you have to push the mechanism so hard the unit moves with the force of your effort. I'm constantly realigning it in the cabinet. Second, many reviewers complained that the button panel had failed within months of purchase. I believe this is because you really have to mash the buttons to initiate them. All this rough use leads to failure over time. Third, there are 15 Sensor Cook settings. To get to number 15, you have to hit the Sensor Cook button 15 times. It would make more sense and cause less wear and tear on that button, to hit Sensor Cook, followed by pressing 1, 5, to get to Brown Rice, for example. Fourth, there is no auto start feature. For example, once you hit the Sensor Cook button 11 times to get to Oatmeal, you have to hit Start. My old microwave would start automatically after a 5-10 second delay. Even with the quick 30 button, you have to hit start. Fifth, if you open the door to check your food while using Sensor Reheat, it clears the progress. It only remembers the progress when the Sensor Cook enters a timer countdown, which for some things, like baby food, might be too hot. What I like...it has the highest cooking wattage for its size, which was important to me, and a huge cavity for larger casserole dishes. On the sensor reheat you can knock down or raise the heating by selecting the more or less buttons. I love the keep warm and beverage features. I've never had a microwave with 15 Sensor Cook settings but of the few I've used so far, they are very useful; although you do need to check the food to make sure the setting cooks to your taste and not over cook your dish. All in all, I'm happy with my purchase...just knocked it down a start because of user features that I think need to be improved on the next generation of this model.

Good Microwave but user functionality could be improved

I've had this product about a year. I agree with Deirdre M.'s review.  My additions would be, because I use the m.v. multiple times a day to heat coffee, the interior color, dark, doesn't allow you to see the liquid being heated [boil overs]. The interior light placement does not shine light on the center.  The display using a period or colon is confusing and to reiterate Deirdre's point about the multiple button pushing.  The turbo defrost is great, the inverter technology is great and the genius cook is great!

I like it! Minor improvements needed.

Team Panasonic - S

For some reason whenever the microwave is running our wifi is affected.  It freezes every item using the wifi, TV, Computer, Phones etc.  Not sure if we have a bad microwave but would be interested if this is a fix for this or do we need to replace it.  Would greatly appreciate a reply asap.

WIFI Interruption

I like Panasonic products and have owned many including their microwaves.  This one has design flaws.  I returned the 1st one to the reseller immediately at Panasonic's suggestion.  The 2nd model was no better and slightly worse.
My needs are often for defrosting and cooking or reheating microwaveable products and basic things.  The touchpad requires careful pressing to activate commands.  If you defrost, going from level 10 to 3 is a nuisance and can't be done rapidly.  The heat barrier/vapor film on the door make it difficult to see what's going on during use.  The door release button sticks and does not open easily and the microwave will move on a counter top unless held in position.
As to accuracy, cooking a standard bag of popcorn left almost all the kernels uncooked based on the recommended settings.  For that, I don't care because I wait until they almost stop popping. Automated features on most appliances require trial and error.  But this failed on a simple task.
Since I don't feel like returning the 2nd model, I'll keep it and put up with issues.

Poor panel touch sensitivity, accuracy and design

I purchased this microwave 2 years and 4 months ago. Yesterday it stopped heating things, I would expect it to last longer.. Very disappointed.

Not built to last

I love the microwave for it is impossible to use at night..Can't you please light up the time buttons?!! Most of us with children, in particular, get up in the night, and cannot see the minute buttons because they are dark as is the rest of the kitchen. We end up fumbling around to find the right amount of time to heat up the item. Seems like an obvious functionality. Please make it so.

Your microwave is the worst thing I have ever bought !  It is horrible.whoever invented the child lock should be executed. I can't see the controls at night. Keyboard not illuminated. It is truly the worst microwave EVER!!!  It is in in perfectly good working order and I am going to take it out back and break it into a billion pieces with a sledge hammer!!!!  I HATE your product!!!

This thing SUCKS

Panasonic NN-SC67NS microwave review: We've had three of these, and each one has been defective. The primary problem is that there's absolutely no consistency to the heating. Here are a couple of examples:

1) We make a lot of popcorn. Like, a LOT of popcorn (using a Presto PowerPop). The first two batches are perfect. But the third (or fourth) batch barely even heats. So I have to stop it, reset the time, and try again. And then it works just fine. But it's not acceptable, having to baby-sit it and redo my work.

2) For medical reasons, I heat up an eye pad every day. Set for the identical time, sometimes the pad is just barely warm, and sometimes it's blazingly hot.

Let me remind you, I've had three of these, and they're all defective. Which means that the design and/or manufacturing itself is defective. So I'd never, ever recommend it to anyone.
