After reading a number of reviews, I had very mixed feelings about buying this. This is the third Panasonic I have owned, and it’s every bit as good as the ones before, if not a little bit better. All of the trivial little complaints that I’ve seen are exactly that: trivial little complaints. The oven works great and since I don’t sit in front of the microwave oven to watch it, cook, I don’t care that the internal light isn’t that bright. And since I don’t sit and stare inside the microwave, I don’t care that the interior is light gray instead of white. And since I don’t care that I have to push two buttons to get 30 second cook time instead of just one, I don’t find that to be an issue either. All around, it’s a great Panasonic microwave oven, which is what I have come to expect since way back in the 1980s.

This microwave was purchased when a prior version of it started having problems, (lots of daily use and several years old). The interior is grey, which we did not care for at first. But, after a few days, we really like it better than white. It is simple to use. It does cook a lot hotter and quicker than the older version, even though size and wattage are the same. We have to remind ourselves to cook at a lessor time frame than the instructions call for. Overall, a great microwave at a great price.

Best microwave for the best price period. It's a big size microwave thats stainless steel and 1250 watts with all the features you love from Panasonic genius inverter microwaves and the best part is the features are all user friendly. If your in need of a new microwave or looking for your first this is the one to get and the price is right.

The best microwave for the best price

I bought this microwave b/c it’s exactly the right size to fit the shelf as if it were a built-in. The product is quiet, cooks evenly and is very easy to clean. The child lock is a good safety feature if you have kids, but annoying if you don’t. We are empty nesters, and found it simple to deactivate the feature. This microwave replaces a Sharp Carousel that worked perfectly from1983 until a month ago, if you can believe it! I don’t think this one will last 38 years, but that’s OK, since I’m 70.

Just right for us.

This is my second Panasonic microwave! I replaced my 16 year old microwave & although I loved my old one; this one is better. I love the black interior & it has so many great settings with no guesswork. The reheat sensor work perfect!!! It heats perfection no matter what you are reheating. Rolls to steak reheat perfectly. Defrost is perfect & doesn’t start cooking. So many settings that I don’t want to write a book here! Purchase this microwave; you won’t regret it!

This is a great microwave!!

It's huge inside. My teenage son figured out that as a safety mechanism you have to press the number "0" to unlock it after using it. It's very nice. I'm glad I decided to buy it.

so far, it has performed well.

The interior is roomy.  We were originally concerned about the interior color.  There were report of it being "black" and not white. we saw mixed report. Sam's online photo still shows a white interior but the unit we got is a "gray" color.  Not as dark as we fear and does work reasonably well.

The unit is more powerful than the one we have in our home and you will need to adjust your cooking time to adapt.

Overall, it worked well. Let's hope we don't run into what other report as having a very short life.

Great microwave This is my second one. I had a white one and remodeled to Stainless so I also updated this microwave, It is very large inside { the inverter technology} The 1250 W makes it a powerhouse.  I highly reccommend it to anyone that uses their microwave a lot.

Works great, great power and plenty of room.
The one thing missing is a button to instantly run the oven one minute at a time.
Would be perfect if you can heat something by pushing an add a minute one or more times.
Trivial issue but would've been a nice feature.

One missing feature

My elderly father had trouble using this microwave because unlike virtually every other microwave on the market, this one does not offer one touch minute buttons, such as pressing the number three to give you an instant three minutes for example. It takes a couple more steps to start the microwave for those short minute examples. We had to return it because it was too confusing for him.
