This microwave fits the bill. I have used a Panasonic for years and wanted another one when mine quit. I looked on-line, found this one, and am thrilled with the ease of getting used to a new one. It works very much like my old one, but even better.

Lucky I found this one!

walmart.com

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My previous Panasonic 1.3 cu.ft. faithfully served me through 2 moves for about 10 years and I was excited that I could get this newer model with NUMBERS like I had before! It's been different (dark inside walls/harder to see to clean), but has performed just as well as my old one. You can't beat a Panasonic microwave!

Panasonic is the BEST!

My 96 year old aunt wanted a new microwave that "didn't look like the dashboard of a rocket ship". This microwave is just what she needed. Easy to use, fits on her countertop, and it's white....all her requirements are met. She is definirely satisfied.

So easy a 96 year old can use it!

Samsclub.com

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Seems to be a quality product. All functions seem easy to operate. Size is appropriate for usage.

Compact but large enough to cook bigger items. Simple to operate. It is a bit noisy but that does not hinder it's efficiency.

Inexpensive and efficient.

This microwave works great except for the below.
REALLY wish it had vents for steam to escape. Have to wipe steam off the inside of door, inside sides and inside top.
Terrible for heating frozen pastry. Pastry comes out soggy.
Also wish it had on the front of microwave what amount of time to thaw and auto cook different foods.
I had a Panasonic Genius for 38 years with no problems.
What made it stop working was the door latch quit working which made the microwave not work. It had vents on the top so no steam to wipe off inside.
Also had on the front telling you how much time for "auto cook", or "thaw and auto cook" different foods.
I put 2 regular size frozen lamb chops in a sauce in on 5 sensor cook. Had to run them one more time on 5 sensor cook for them to come out just right.
This one heats and cooks really well, it is just a guess what amount of time and what temp to put it on.
Guess you have to try things and figure it out.
The size is good.

This Microwave Is Missing 2 Important Things

Be sure to check the size of the interior to meet your needs. We replaced a similar unit (that blew up after 25 years of light use) with this one, thinking it was a close replacement. When we received it, the interior dimensions were startlingly smaller on the new unit; the old turntable and rotation ring would not fit. It's ok since we do little more than heat a dinner plate of food or cup of coffee in the thing. If I cook much more than 2-to-4 potatoes, or much more than a 2 serving casserole, I'll be surprised.
The child lock feature requires a rocket science degree or much more patience than I have to read the detailed instructions. Without children in the household, I'd rather it just not exist (or require possible resets with power failures, mis-pushed button sequences, etc.).

Check interior and turntable dimensions you need

Microwave is too tall, overall too big. Does not fit on the counter, takes up to much needed counter space. The only reason I kept it was I cannot find another 1,100 watt one.

Panasonic microwave Model #NN-Su656B is not as advertised. The outside measurements are correct except the depth which is not 16 1/8" D, instead only 14 9/16". The inside is smaller than the dimensions listed. It states 9 13/16" H, 13 13/16" W, 15 3/16" D. The inside dimensions are
9" H, 13 3/16" W, 13 1/4" D. It states that it has a 13.4" turntable. That is not correct, the turntable is actually 12". I was disappointed because I bought it for the larger interior.

Beware of incorrect description

This has several design elements I consider flaws. The clock display does not stay on (my microwave has always been a primary clock for the kitchen). The interior light does not go on when the door is open (only when operating). The control panel is very hard to read except in very bright light. The 30 second option does not start immediately, but requires pressing the start button.
