I used to use the Pantene line when I relaxed my hair. And I loved it then. However, when I went natural I quit using Pantene because it was not sulfate free. So over 10 years I used other products. This morning I tried the Gold line..shampoo, conditioner, leave on detangling milk, butter creme and the hydrating oil. Due to coloring my hair was very dry before using the Pantene line, but today even the ends were hydrated. Thank you Pantene for bring the African American hair back into your fold.

I would like to use this as a leave in daily conditioner, is that OK, i always use the pantene since I went natural, but I recently lost lots of hair and I wasnt sure if it was because I was using the cowash as conditioner, so im scared, but this stuff is the truth

Amazing conditioner

This stuff is amazing. I have been searching for a natural hair care product and stumbled on this. Honestly I wasn't expecting it to work. My hair has several textures and there is a lot of it. I am so happy that I tried this product and I am now a fan.

This is a good product for someone who has time to leave it in their hair for a while and then wash it out (which is what I did) but I meant to buy or should have bought the leave in conditioner. However, my hair feels awesomely conditioned and smells good. So perhaps I will use this product and then the leave-in! I would recommend!

Smells Great!

This is so good! Baby, I knew it was gold when I felt the detangling and slip with my fingers when I rinsed it out in the shower. No protein, so it is really moisturizing.

Love this conditioner it left my hair super soft but since I do have oily hair I did not apply this near my scalp, only my ends since they are a little dry. I also love the smell all Pantene products smells similar but I love their scent

Love the way it left my hair feeling

I dye my hair every two months and this year my hair was extremely dry and tangled. I bought this to try and let me say it is an amazing smell. My hair on the forat use is smooth and silky. Love love it.

Amazing

I heard about the gold series; had to try it. I was apprehensive at first. As that I am a "natural" girl, most products that promise to moisturize my hair leave it weighed down/oily. Not the case the w/gold series. My hair is amazing! I didn't have ANY breakage. Try this product! I highly recommend it! Great job to the folks at Pantene! Definitely nailed it on this one!

Great product!

This product has a great smell but the lather of the conditioner is not as creamy as the regular Pantene moisture renewal conditioner. Why is that? The gold series is primarily for people of color right? People of color need intense moisture and hydration. Is this something that can be fixed?

Conditioner comparison

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the
Pantene Pro-V Gold Series for free in an Influenster VoxBox to provide my
honest review.   

The Pantene Pro-V Gold Series Collection targets
African-American relaxed, transitioning, or natural hair, an was even
co-created with African-American scientist and stylist. According to Pantene,
this “collection is powered by Pro-V nutrient blends, and protective condition
and repair agents formulated to work together to improve moisture strength,
elasticity, smoothness and shine.”

 

First Impression:

When I opened the package, I got hit with an awesome scent.
One thing for sure is that this product smells amazing! Each item says that the
product is infused with argan oil and is for dry, damaged hair. I check the
ingredients label, and unfortunately there's not much argan oil in each
product. At first look, I'm already disappointed with the shampoo because it is
not sulfate free because sulfate is drying to my hair. The conditioner and
butter-crème, however, are both sulfate free. 

 

Moisture Boost Shampoo:

As expected, the shampoo may have cleansed my scalp, but it
completely dried my hair out in the process. After rinsing the shampoo out, my
hair texture was not soft like it usually is, and I even felt as if my hair was
more tangled than when I began my wash day process.   

Moisture Boost Conditioner:

I used more than half of the bottle of conditioner to soften
my hair for appropriate detangling. If the shampoo hadn't been so drying, this
probably would not have been necessary. Regardless, I found that the
conditioner did not provide enough slip for me to fully detangle my hair.   

Hydrating Butter-Crème:

Since a wash-n-go is my go-to style, I decided to use the
butter-crème as my styler in the same manner as I use other stylers for my
weekly wash-n-go's. It provided me with great day-one hair, however, it did not
hold my curl pattern or lock in moisture. I was completely unimpressed with my
day-two hair. 

 

Bottom Line:

I will not be purchasing products from the Patene Gold
Series. I really wanted to love this product, but for me, it fell short on too
many notes. My hair was left dry and brittle, and I ended up having to give my
hair a DYI deep condition treatment mid-week. Pantene's Gold Series did not compare
to the moisture and style longevity I received from other products in the same
price range (even if they also contained sulfates!). I've even gotten better results from other Pantene product lines.
